CPE Material, 0.6 nozzle first layer under-extrusion - How to solve?

Hello,

I'm having an issue with PrusaSlicer-2.3.1 I'm trying to print a big object (the size should not matter at all) with the following settings:

Material is CPE

Configuration is 0.30 mm draft

Nozzle diameter is 0.6 mm

With this settings the total printing time is 11 hours which is not bad at all. BUT. For an unkown reason, the first layer is under-extruded. I've seen in the Slic3r that flow for the first layer is 0.840 and for the second layer goes up to 4.5 minimum and 8.3 maximum which is OK.

I understand the second layer is .3 mm and the first one should be 0.2 mm but if you see how the first layer is printed you cleanly see it is under-extruded.

Is there a way to modify extrusion flow only for the first layer (other than editing the gcode by hand)

Thanks!

I don't know how to adjust this in the Slic3r, I think it is a bug somewhere in the code.

RE: CPE Material, 0.6 nozzle first layer under-extrusion - How to solve?

I have the same problem with Prusa Slicer 2.7.3. The funny think is that it does extrude enough on the first layer in those areas where the print head moves slower (small geometries, direction change) and it does extrude well on any other layer. But it does not extrude enough on the long, linear lines of the first layer. Only happens with 0.6 mm nozzle, not with 0.4 mm nozzle.

This is a huge problem because it means that also the brim is not printed properly which causes issues on my part (I print ColorFabb HT, some kind of cristalline PET filament).
