Cannot do calibration/Access menu with mintemp error
Hi,
I've been experiencing the following issue with my MK3/S:
- I'm getting a mintemp error for the extruder. Replaced the thermistor with a new (original) one but error did not go away. Measured resistance over new one but is fine. As of this point, I cannot access any menu anymore.
- Did a factory reset in order to start calibration, as it cannot be done through the menu. Calibration results in the following error: Check axis length: X axis.
- Looked for hardware issues like obstructions or timing belt tension issues, none were present, all cables were managed according to the manual.
Next step would be to disable x crash detection (I think?) or calibration through the menu, but I cannot access anything, probably due to the MINTEMP error. Is there a way around this? Or am I overlooking something with the X-axis length?
Thanks!
Jelle
RE: Cannot do calibration/Access menu with mintemp error
does the
LCD display show a heat bed temperature of 15C or below?
if yes, try raising the room temperature to above 15 C
does the hot end show a much lower temperature than the heatbed?
Is the thermistor plugged into the correct connector on the einsy?
did the issue begin after you cleaned the hot end?
if yes, It's possible that the einsy controller has been damaged.

What is the temperature of your workshop?
Cheerio,

Hi Joan,
Thanks for your reply
* The head bed temperature is over 15°C;
* The hot end temperature is 0° (but after testing shows a resistance of about 90kOhm);
* The thermistor is correctly attached
* I forgot to mention but have already replaced the EINSY board.
Thanks
Jelle

Steady at around 20°C. I've never experienced any mintemp issues up until now. I really think it just needs calibration but I cannot acces it.

90 Kohms should show a temperature in excess of 25C
Have you tried swapping the heatbed and hot end thermistor connectors, temporarily, to see if the fault moves with the thermistor, or stays with the einsy port?
Other than that, I Am out of ideas

Follow @joantabb's suggestions.
Like her I'm stumped - unless:- I remember one user with temperature issues in the tropics who had placed his printer directly in line with his AC outlet.
Cheerio,

Hello,
PRINTER: PRUSA i3 MK3
1. After a damage on the thermistor cable I got a MINTEMP Error on the LCD
2. I replaced the hotend with a new(not original) one
3. Now I don't have access to the menu, only at the INFO Screen. Nothing happens when I rotate the rotary knob.
Any suggestion or hints much appreciated.
