Can Gcode be converted back to STL?
I have a Gcode file that I want to slice into smaller parts as the print keeps failing before completion - its a very thin tall wall sort of file. Is it possible to do this without starting from scratch since this piece has already been sliced from the original large piece .
Not without considerable difficulty, far better to go back to the original CAD and export new STLs.

Will it not be sufficient to cut it in pieces with the slicer´s cutting tool?

There is no way to cut (slice) something that has been converted to Gcode as far as i can tell. STL files? Sure but my file has already been converted to Gcode …

That’s what I thought … luckily I wasn’t completely stupid and left the original STL file that I sliced into pieces open so I was to do a couple of ‘undo’ commands and get to where I needed

Better to do the cutting in the original CAD where it is easier to insert keyways and registraton points.
