Bed leveling issue and questions

I have a new to me MK3S and am having issues with larger prints. I have printed the grid below several times and I keep getting see through areas near the center, slightly to the left.

1. Am I correct that the nozzle is too far from the bed in these see through areas?

2. I have installed the current firmware, run the calibration wizard twice, turned the plate over and set the leveling to 7x7. None of these things changed these prints. Without modification, is there anything else to do to fix this issue?

3. I tried placing 4 concentric circles of aluminum foil under the plate just left of center with no change in the print. Has anyone successfully resolved this issue with placing something between the bed and the plate?

4. What does the 7x7 check do and why isn’t it solving my problem? I assumed it measuring the distance to the bed at all these points and then adjusting the Z as needed to compensate.

5. If I modify my machine to resolve the bed level which method is simpler? The spring method makes sense to me, but the subsequent calibration looks intimidating!

thank you in advance for any help you all can give me
