Are M3x12b screws the same as M3X12?
Hi,
I want to replace the screws for my heat bed. In Section 7, Step 13 of the guide, the screws are listed as M3X12b. Are these the same as M3X12 screws? The 'b' is throwing me off. I know the screws need to be countersunk but should I look for anything else when looking for their replacements?
Thanks,

I just received an email from Prusa support on this. For anyone else wondering, the 'b' just signifies countersunk. Here is their exact response:
Hello,
The "b" is supposed to signify that the screw is countersunk. We use stainless steel fasteners, but the material doesn't matter much.
Have a nice day!

I would also use stainless steel screws as they re less magnetic and as the pinda works by inductance then a different material could effect the pinda in theory.

I don't know about the rest of the world, but here in the US we call that head style Bugle head, perhaps that could be the B designation. 🤔

Most of the 'rest of the world' uses the DIN standard. Countersunk screws with Allen head are DIN 7991.

German standard DIN 7991 is what you are looking for.
