Prusa has a Political problem on Printables

I was on Printables the other day and I was looking at the Pro and Anti Trump models. All I can say is I hope the people leaving comments on those models never find this forum!!! I’m very surprised and disappointed that Prusa let’s people talk like that to each other. I did report some of the really nasty stuff so it will be interesting to see if Prusa takes any of it down.

Another PETG Stringing Problem (Core One +)

I'm attempting to print a part with Overture PETG (Project file attached). The first one printed perfectly without stringing. The next day I printed a second one and it had lots of stringing. The relative humidity in the room was at 50%. Assuming that the filament had absorbed moisture I ran it through a drying cycle and printed another today. It is just as bad.

After the first print, which was successful, I tried to nip off a string hanging from the nozzle with a flush trim cutter. I got a little higher than I intended and as I squeezed the cutter I felt it slide off the nozzle. It's possible that the cutter damaged the nozzle tip.

Is it plausible that I may have damaged the tip and it is responsible for the stringing?

IR Filament Sensor Resistor R2 and R3 values

Installing the IR sensor I destoyed the resistors R2 and R3 can anyone tell me the original values of them?.

I mean the small ones in the red pcb rev0.4. The ones that are just on top of the transistor.

Heat Deflection- PCTG

Heat deflection is a big factor in selecting a filament, at least for me. PCTG is a bit higher, I think, than PETG, but not a lot. Then I saw the table from Push Plastics- https://www.pushplastic.com/pages/learn

Just scroll down a bit for the heat deflection graphic. Can this possibly be right? Are some of the materials filled and they forgot to mention it? What do people that likely know more than I do, think?

Zdravím vespolek,

řeším takovou věc: mám rozběhnutý Prusa Connect. Mám nachystané tiskové úlohy ve frontě. Když se úloha dotiskne, někdy vidím v aplikaci stav tiskárny "HOTOVO" a někdy "NEČINNÁ". Když je ve stavu "nečinná", můžu v aplikaci kliknout na "Připravit" a spustí se další úloha z fronty. Když je ale ve stavu "hotovo", tak tam to klikátko "Připravit" není. Musím použít webové rozhraní, kde už můžu púřipravenost odkliknout a tisk se spustí.

Dělám něco špatně a nebo tohle opravdu funguje "podivně"?

V té souvislosti jsem si všiml, že u úlohy, která je nachystaná k tisku ještě můžu potvrdit, že je na tiskárně správný průměr trysky a že je zavedený správný filament. Ale nemá to žádný vliv na odkliknutí, že je tiskárna připravena může se tisknout. Nepochopil jsem, k čemu to tam je, když můžu tisk odpálit i bez toho, abych tohle potvrdil. Navíc, v mobilní aplikaci nic takového není.

Je to nějaký nedodělek nebo relikt z minulosti a nebo jsem jen něco někde nepochopil?

Printing with core one 0.25 nozzle

I'm trying to print poly maker HT-PLA using a core one and the 0.25 mm non-high flow nozzle. Started from the generic PLA profile, tried reducing volumetric speed, overall print speed, adjusting temperatures a little. I'm consistently getting skips as shown in the photo. What should I try to improve this and make it work. The printer is in a basement, which is a bit humid, but the filament is in a dryer box.

Any recommendation for unique filament colors?

I love SpiderMaker matt PLA. It really offers some pretty unique pastel colors and a really smooth finish. I'm curious if anyone has recommendations for other filaments that have unusual colors or finish. I'm considering trying Polymaker Starlight. Any others that may be worth checking out? Thanks.

Door switch catches on the upper left corner

This is the second upgrade I’ve done of a MK4s to Core One +. The first upgrade when well. On this second one, the micro-switch when acts as the door switch doesn’t align with the hole in the frame that the switches roller should come through. It nearly clears it but runs against the upper left corner of the hole. I’m including a photo.

Suggestions on how to fix this? I’ve tried adjusting the adjustment screw behind the switch but that doesn’t help with the misalignment as far and I can tell.

A Learning Moment

We all have are moments of stupid, some of us have more then others.

A few days ago I was trying to be funny and I insulted someone and probably hurt their feelings. I did apologize. I also thought about asking the Mods to take down the Post but after thinking about it for a while, maybe it’s best to keep it up. It’s a good reminder that just because you think something is funny doesn’t mean other people will and what you’re trying to say and what other people hear are not always the same.
