Ants living in my PSU

Hi everyone,

I was looking around my printer farm and I noticed that there are ants living in my PSU for my MK3S. They have a colony of eggs on top and I've also seen them carrying larvae inside the PSU through the vents. I think they came through a crack in the floor and like the heat. Will ants living inside the PSU affect my printing in any way? ideally I'd like to keep them because I've always wanted an ant farm and I really enjoyed playing simant as a kid. What do you guys think? Do you have any advice? Please do not not judge.

RE:

The eggs and what else the ants have brought in has moisture in it.  This can cause shorting and possible corrode the internal parts.

If it was my PSU I would open it and remove all of the ant residue.   Then I would check for corrosion and other damage.

If you don't have experience working on electrical equipment and/or don't feel comfortable opening the power supply, don't do it.

Other option is to buy a new power supply.

Warning power supply can hold power do not open it up unless you know how. Ants living inside can be a fire hazard as stuff can corrode like k7zpj said
