After 1 week, X axis slipping with popping noise
Stats:
1 week old Mk3/S purchased fully assembled.
Has been printing great for the first week, no issues until...
I had started a long print, over 24 hours. It probably made it through 3/4 of the print and crashed, offering me a chance to try and resume. I selected that and then it crashed again. I went into troubleshooting and now it seems like it is slipping on the x axis. I can get it to correctly identify x=0 as the left side of the plate. Then when I scroll the printhead to the right and left it will slip, causing a loud noise. After that noise it thinks x=0 is more in the middle of the plate. I find that odd because all the prints I had done up to that point had no slipped layers.
Also now when I do the first layer print alignment it slightly touches the paper on the right side but not enough to dig into the bed. The printer hasn't been moved even an inch since the very first print, so I doubt any of the geometry has changed. Again, it printed completely good for a week.
I didn't put the thing together, but the belt seems tight. I have tried and tried to see how it is slipping. I can't tell if the slip is at the stepper motor or the extruder head. The slip is rather random, but it seems like it might happen more on the left side of the travel.
I'm including a video. Ignore the clicking through the first part of the video as this is me scrolling the wheel to move the extruder head. The bad noise is very noticeable about 42 seconds into the video. Any help would be appreciated. I did email [email protected], but haven't heard anything back yet.Mk3s popping sound at 42ish seconds

Power off, cover the print surface, center the extruder, add a few drops of light machine oil to the X rods both sides of the extruder, then work the extruder back and forth to get oil past the grease seals into the bearings.
If this helps, a tear down to lube the bearings properly should be in your plans. Though some choose to run the bearings dry and add a drop of oil when problems arise.
ps: Prusa, for some misguided reason, refuse to admit the bearings need grease. This despite the fact every bearing manufacturer is adamant lubrication is vital.

@tim-m30
I'll give it a try tonight and will report back. Thanks!
If anyone else can think of a better angle for a video or anything let me know and i'll make that tonight as well.
