Add support in Prusaslicer 2.2

I'm printing a bracket that has a tube shape, with the open end face down in the slicer (see attachment) but can't find a way of adding support to the inner tube in order to support its top face. Is this an issue with Prusaslicer 2.2 or am I missing something?

Please save your project as.. which will save a .3mf that contains your file and all your settings, then zip it up and attach.  That will allow anyone to much clearer see what the issue is.  As the picture doesn't show the 'missing' support.

From experience I'm going to say that Slicer is treating that area as a bridge so that it doesn't think it needs support.  And in all likelyhood it doesn't need the support and will print fine, have you tried printing it ?

If you absolutely must have supports for that area you can find a setting in Print Settings > Support Material > Dont Support Bridges.  By default its enabled which is the most likely reason why the support is not being generated in that area.  Turn it off and it should add support there.  Its an advanced level setting so you need to be in advanced or expert to see it.

Thanks for responding. It's printing as I type, so I'll know if it works in about an hour. Attached is the .3mf file you suggested. The diameter of the hole is a minimum of 24mm so I'd assumed this was too much to bridge without support.

@malcolm

No .3mf attached btw, it needs to be zipped up as the forum is picky about what formats it will allow.

I think you may be surprised by what bridges are possible.  Most I've done on my mk3 is about a 50mm bridge but on my modified cr10 with a better fan duct and bigger fan I managed about 140mm.

The blue area was all bridging and it successfully printed.  It wasn't used in the final part as it was some throwaway internal structure to reduce filament usage but it printed great.

Trying to attach the .3mf file again, but this time zipped.

However, in the mean time the print has passed the level of the bridge. The printer decided to bridge the longer of the two dimensions, but I'm amazed that it has succeeded over a gap of about 30mm.

I did find the settings you mentioned in your reply, so will know that for future reference, but for now, panic over...I have a successful print.

Thanks for your help!
