Re: Would you like a USA parts distributor for PRUSA parts?
An Amazon storefront with Amazon shipping the parts from one of their warehouses could be the easiest, and one of the most accepted by people, way of providing US based parts and machines.
Yes, but they are having trouble delivering enough of the items they sell to Amazon.
I do not see Prusa parts on Amazon, but I admit I could easily have missed it. I see knock offs...and of course any and all E3D Parts, but no Prusa made stuff.
Re: Would you like a USA parts distributor for PRUSA parts?
I would be happy with a official amazon store. Due to the shipping cost from CR I get everything i can from there, but a Prusa store would make it easier to know I was buying the correct part.
If the Amazon store said it was a Prusa Storefront, with Prusa's contact info and such, that would be fine too. I have seen a lot of Internet sites do both their own and an Amazon store.
Re: Would you like a USA parts distributor for PRUSA parts?
I was referring to Prusament. I would like to see parts also.

+1 for Amazon/Prusa_StoreFront
ps: and this new forum was supposed to improve performance ... lmao.
RE: Would you like a USA parts distributor for PRUSA parts?
If it will cut down the cost of shipping, absolutely! Do a Prusa e-store. If I can get a product without going through Amazon that is always my first choice.
RE: Would you like a USA parts distributor for PRUSA parts?
now with the world map. maybe we can all hook up with locals when we need to order something and split the shipping 😀
I have a Prusa,therefore I research.
RE: Would you like a USA parts distributor for PRUSA parts?
Amazon US store would cut down the shipping costs but Amazon is asking for money to do it. So at the end there is not much difference (to the end customer). Check the E3D parts on Amazon. Sometimes it's even cheaper to order on the official website.
Anyway, next day prime shipment for all original replacement parts (for reasonable price) would be really great.

Yes, Please. Im not a fan of buying things from Amazon, so an official storefront through Big A would not be my cup of tea..... That said, If we could have a warehouse in the states, that would help speed up orders quite a bit! I would also think it would help Prusa to better compete on the US market as well.

Omg yes!
You need to start. So many schools in the US will not purchase anything from vendors outside the states. I've worked for two schools and the both decided not to choose Prusia because of the sole reason there were no vendors in the US. They loved it but were turned down because of policies and the boards stating that it needs to be shipped from the US.
I love mine and I can guarantee that you will have two sales the minute you have a vendor sure in the US.

@nathan0876
Where in Canada? About 2 km from my home is an official prusa reseller. They carry mk3 and mk3s parts sourced from prusa. And if support confirms warranty replacement is required all I have to do is provide them with a copy of chat and they provide the part. There main office is in Montreal, and this one is in Burnaby. Check out https://www.voxelfactory.com/
I bought my mk3s from them. Ordered in the afternoon and went down and picked it up the next morning. 🙂
They don't carry parts for all Prusa models. Sorry MINI owners.

There is Prusament on Amazon but it’s $70-80 For a 1kg roll of it.

The listing you reference (and several others) are for a 3rd party seller "Prime Brands Trading" (you'll see it below the "Add to Cart" button on the right side of the page) and not Prusa/Amazon. Unfortunately, 3rd Party sellers are notorious for outrageous prices when the official seller is out of stock - an item I'm currently looking for that lists for $649 was selling for $740 earlier this week on Amazon when there's a national out of stock condition waiting on shipments from Taiwan. When Prusament is shipped to Amazon directly, the price will be more in line with the prices on prusa3d.com.
Be patient, Amazon has been getting hammered with the COVID-19 pandemic, and for a time stopped accepting shipments of non-essential items at their warehouses. It is likely going to take a bit of time for the Prusament team to get shipments out to Amazon for sale at a reasonable price.

@michael-j36
I do think that is the key point. Prusa had a good price on Amazon, but the supply dried up. I think Prusa had difficulty maintaining production high enough to keep it on the shelves.

If you look at Prusa's own site, they are out of stock even there on several varieties. I suspect that the Prusament team is producing volumes of the PETG Orange for PPE right now, both for in-house use as well as shipping to customers, and the other varieties are in short supply until they switch back to normal production schedules.
Also, as I said, Amazon US stopped accepting shipments of "Non-Essential" products for a while with the pandemic, so even if Prusa had the inventory to ship, Amazon wouldn't of accepted it. Lets get past this global disruption and allow things to get back to normal across the whole supply chain.
RE: Would you like a USA parts distributor for PRUSA parts?
@michael-j36
I agree. That was my point and I should have been more specific. I should have said both their shelved and Amazon. I was not aware that amazon stopped accepting non-essential products.
