Why won't PLA Print?

RE:

I'm sure you checked this but I didn't read this specifically in the thread.. The MK3S+ prints PLA like nothing.. so you have, likely, one issue that is difficult to nail down.. When my extruder starts clicking, I'm usually hearing the direct drive gears clicking (slipping feeding filament).. Over time, the threads in the cogs get misaligned and they get gummed up with micro-bits of other filaments. I take the door off and take a dental pick and really clean all the threads in the two gear-threads that are moving the filament.. this will take a bit of time ..(check they aren't somehow stripped on yours). Then I make sure they are aligned properly. But you can have a really wide tolerance on the depth of the screw that goes thru the extruder and sets the pressure on the filament ..  and it will still feed filament fine (I find at least 2 turns of tolerance).. so if you are trying to find a magic setting for that screw, don't bother, the issue is elsewhere.

It is the quality check for the built machine.  Don’t see why you would assume they are cheating on the proof test !

They are a small shop.

And, I don't see the guys in assembly wasting time swapping filament with custom gcode on every printer they assemble.  All it does is add cost to the process. I think is much more plausible that they have a system with an MMU attached that does nothing but print those "Prusa" name plates.

Perhaps because your complaint is not focussed in the current problem!

When you raise irrelevant issues such as the initial printer that PRUSA immediately replaced - you drown out whatever your current problem is with irrelevant information:

and I was hoping for some advice from someone who conquered the issue. but they don't seem to be chiming in.

If you find that the temperature of the nozzle is incorrect, it's usually simple to diagnose and fix.

The thermistor is usually the culprit, but things like the heater unit itself, the wiring, or even the Einsy board or the firmware can be at fault.

One of those digital infrared thermometers (I use the Etekcity), one which is made for solid objects, not for humans, can verify temperatures.  It's usually spot on or way off, but there have been reported cases of it being out of tolerance high or low enough to cause issues.

It isn't a tensions screw, It isn't the temperature of the room, I'm doing this in an enclosure, and it isn't something silly I'm doing in the slicer.

Hmm, PETG works, but PLA doesn’t?  Have you tried printing PLA outside the enclosure?  Or at least with the doors of the enclosure open?  I’ve seen heat creep with PLA caused by the elevated temperatures inside an enclosure..
