Why the i3MK3S+ does print faster when the speed is tuned up?
Hi, in the past I lowered the speed to 50% via the knob next to the LCD screen. The printer slowed down the movement and it took longer to complete the print. This time I increased the speed to 150% but I did not see the printer moving faster. It also took the same amount of time to complete the print. What went wrong?
Probably nothing.
The speed setting affects the maximum permitted speed, the speed limit. Full speed will only be reached on long straight lines. If the part is small or complex in shape the print head may never have room to accelerate ...
Cheerio,

Thank you
RE: Why the i3MK3S+ does print faster when the speed is tuned up?
I noticed that even without lowering the print time, there are a lot of ringings on the surface compared with those printed at a default speed of 100%. What happened? If it were printing at faster rate, I could understand the poor quality but in this case, I did not gain speed improvement.
Don't forget you have to decelerate as well, perhaps some moves did briefly attain higher speeds before going into the next corner.
Cheerio,
