Ordered immediately on MK3day, would be ecstatic if we get it in november, but happy to receive it whenever they are ready!
Still would really like a dual sided build plate included! Smooth Matte finish like PEI sheets on one side, and the advertised textured side on the other if at all possible?
From powder coating my own items with different textures, I don't see why it would be difficult
given the desire for them to do so, or indeed if others wanted such a thing also?

interesting, but this would harm the tolerance stack-up and heat transfer. Better to leave one side untouched, metal and smooth to get repeatable flatness.
I've been using the BuildTak magnetic base and flex steel plates with my Printrbot Metal Simple. It works really well so I have high hopes for the Prusa system.

Already ordered the MK3 earlier and today just ordered the MK2.5 upgrade AND the MMU upgrade for it. Lotsa waiting on my part. On the other hand the MK3 will be like an early Christmas, if it ships as guestimated, and the upgrades will be like a late Christmas.
Work them elves Prusa-Clause!

The problem with ordering early. Is that you get reduced discounts. On the flip side you get to play with your new toy for longer before it becomes the old model...

Would be interesting to know how many pre-orders they have gotten since they announced. Even just an approximate number to date.

I think it will depend on suppliers sending them sufficient stock. One thing thats always put them behind was printed parts. Just an assumption but I'm guessing their mk2s orders have slowed down so if the parts are final and they have already been printing them, should help the with the queue.
Of course thats also an assumption....or wishful thinking.

Ordered last Thursday, and hopeful that it might turn up in January-ish times. My first 3d printer 🙂
