Re: Who Has Pre-Ordered A Mk 3 Then?
And of course to both answers, keep in mind that these are just estimates based on expectations of receiving parts from vendors that is beyond their control. All it takes is one vendor to be delayed in shipping quantity a couple of months to bring the date to January. That's why they say "We EXPECT to start shipping in November" If you take it literally, you may be setting your self up for disappointment.
I hear ya, however, they should take that into account when giving delivery dates, I know I always build cushion into my lead times when quoting a job and rarely miss a promised date, though it does happen. Granted the industry I'm in is much different than theirs is but in my case quoted factory lead times are usually pretty reliable and like us most cushion their quoted lead time and generally deliver a week or two early on longer lead items. I wonder if Prusa wants to hire a US based Project Manager?
Re: Who Has Pre-Ordered A Mk 3 Then?
I spoke with chat service and they confirm that they will start shipping in December and not in November as expected.......
i have spoken to them aswell. i order on the 23 september and i should expect it by the end of november

I understand that everything you say is true. However, I must say that I'll be disappointed if I don't get it end of November! Not mad, not spouting crap in forums, but I'll be disappointed... I'm tired of calibrating the bed on my Ultimaker and my Rostock, and looking forward to my first auto-calibrated bed!
Re: Who Has Pre-Ordered A Mk 3 Then?
This is indeed disapointing.
Preorders open at the end of september, and already at mid october the first shipping is already delayed to end of november/december.
Lack of information is also not appreciated.
I'm sure they are things out of their control (like suppliers), but still, now PR are not small boys in this business and I would expect them to respect the initial planning 😉

At this point I don't think delays are anything more than speculation as nothing official has been posted by Prusa.... I was just chiming in on Joe.v2's post regarding supply chain issues.

And that's exactly what my post was....speculation and nothing more to the fact that (as the saying goes) Sh-t happens. Totally possible that they will start shipping end of November just don't get your hopes up to avoid disapointment if supply issues happen beyond their control.

Is end of November a delay? November was actually the date I heard when I ordered.

No not a delay, November can mean anytime in November, not necessarily beginning of November.
Re: Who Has Pre-Ordered A Mk 3 Then?
+1
Just ordered the MK3 as a birthday present for myself. It will be my 3rd 3D Printer, my second kit build, and my 1st Prusa printer.
I was on the fence for a few months about getting another FDM printer or investing in an SLA or SLS system. After doing a lot of research I've decided that consumer SLA tech still has a long ways to go before it becomes easy-to-use and practical. After comparing them to the MK3 and it's user-friendly advancements made by Prusa Research (i.e. filament sensor, power loss recovery, missed step compensation, live-Z axis, sturdier frame) I've decided to go ahead and purchase the new model.
My old Makerbot Dual and my Aurarum Wombot Exilis XL have been plagued with issues and are currently non-operational. These days I'm willing to sacrifice some build volume for a well-supported, reliable printer.
I understand that factory production and shipping dates can be tentative. My only wish is that I receive the MK3 kit before Christmas 😀

😀 Optimist !!! 😀
Re: Who Has Pre-Ordered A Mk 3 Then?
I'm disappointed too because of the lack of informations :(. Just hope to have some news. I've ordered on 5th Oct and I hope to receive the new MK3 soooooon but I'm not that sure to receive it if things are going in this way.
Re: Who Has Pre-Ordered A Mk 3 Then?
Ordered min on Friday. It was only a month ago I had my MK2 but when I saw the MK3 at TCT I thought "What the hell!", after all its only my fourth 3D printer 😀

Re: Who Has Pre-Ordered A Mk 3 Then?
Ordered mine last weekend. Looking forward to unboxing it...
Re: Who Has Pre-Ordered A Mk 3 Then?
Bought mine Friday (10/20/2017). I am coming from a clone (Anet A8) that I have dialed in to print nearly perfect. Hoping with the real deal Prusa I will have increased reliability, and ease of use due to better bed leveling and the new features! I am not really expecting better print quality though.
Re: Who Has Pre-Ordered A Mk 3 Then?
Ordered mine 10/6, pre-assembled as i tend to mess things up. Spoke with support yesterday and they told me to expect it after christmas. They also said the newest pre-orders will probably ship near the end of January. Also ordered the MK3 mmu on day of release, but i do not expect it until late march IMO.

I would assume so, as technically im paying $250 to make sure it prints well out of the box and i dont have to fuss with it nearly as much. I think the kits will ship anywhere from a week to two weeks earlier.

Re: Who Has Pre-Ordered A Mk 3 Then?
My one week old M3D Pro I left back because the glass bed was convex and could not be fixed.
So I ordered the best I could find on October 23rd. A pre-assembled Original Prusa i3 MK3 😎

Re: Who Has Pre-Ordered A Mk 3 Then?
Ordered mine last night, pre-assembled. This is my first time shopping with Prusa, and first time pre-ordering a printer so we'll see how this goes!
