What's the best surface to stand the printer on?
I'm new to 3D printing and am awaiting the arrival of the Mk3s+ kit. When built, I intend standing the printer on my desk top and was wondering what type of mat/surface to stand it on, as I want to make sure the desk doesn't get marked or damaged.

I have mine on a home office counter top, which is built in to the wall and (I assume) was leveled by the builder.
The feet on the printer seem unlikely to scratch or permanently mark anything.

@jsw
Thanks, I'll put it directly on top of the desk then.

I have placed one of my printers on a flat milled aluminum plate. The aluminum plate can be fitted with thin felt gliders to avoid scratching the desk. The printer itself is equipped with PVC feet and normally cannot damage the desk surface.

mine is on a cement paver, on a Memory Foam pillow, on a walmart folding table.

@karl-herbert
I like the idea of standing it on a aluminium plate. In view of whats been said, I think I'll build it first and see how it goes
