RE: PrusaSlicer 2.0.0 - FINAL

Is Max layer height (printer settings/extruder 1) ignored?

I was looking through some settings to help a friend trouble shoot some issues she is having on her printers and noticed the max layer height setting for the default 0.4mm nozzle MK3S is 0.25mm, yet when I select a 0.3mm layer height print setting PrusaSlicer doesn't complain and in the preview the layers are 0.3mm. Why is PrusaSlicer allowing a 0.05mm excess in layer height of the maximum setting?

Some of those settings are most useful in setting dependencies in your print profiles.

This setting only affects variable layer heights.

Silly me, if I had bothered to read the hover text for those two text entries I would have seen that.

Thanx

RE: PrusaSlicer 2.0.0 - FINAL

I did a chat support session and cleaned up all the old files, downloaded & installed CCleaner and let it muck with my registry, re-redownload PrusaSlicer, re-re-re-reinstalled and it still fails immediately on startup.

Has anyone gotten PrusaSlicer2.0 to run on a Windows 8 machine?

And the range must be limited to a small factor over nozzle diameter or you'll get an error when slicing (better than the crash that use to happen).

Check your graphic card settings.

I had this problem with an old laptop, and I had to change the setting to use performance mode for PrusaSlicer.

Soooo nice to finally have 3DConnexion Space Mouse support! Been waiting for months for this update to become Final status!
