Hi guays

can you help?

Uploading the object it looks like this

 

after slicing  this

 

seems slicing does not recognise some edges.

Do you have "detect thin walls" on? Sometimes this setting can really mess up a file.

could you post the STL please?

I am guessing that the parts which do not show on the sliced model, are too narrow for your nozzle to print.

purely for an experiment, you could try slicing with the 0.25 mm nozzle presets, and see if the model  is sliced as you expect!

note, don't try printing with 0.25 nozzle gcode, using a 0.4 nozzle... it wont end well!

if the elements that won't slice in the 0.4mm nozzle presets, are sliced satisfactorily with the 0.25mm profile. you could try setting the external perimeter extrusion width and / or default extrusion width to smaller values.  the prusa default is 0.45, try 0.42 or 0.4mm

if dimensions are not critical, you could try adjusting X/Y size compensation, to say 0.2mm 0r 0.4mm, this should make the features more bold!

Your part has multiple shells, and some of them are most likely not manifold, or are overlapping, and the slicer has no idea what walls are exterior and should be perimeters.

ps: Shouldn't this post be in "How do I print this?" rather than a build release sub-forum?

tim-m30 : thanks, I have rebuilt the drawing, seems you were right, some walls were not "water-proof"  firstly I requested the slicer to repair the STL and save as .obj - did not get any error mesage from slicer, I have some issues. Using Sketchup for drawing - it is probably not perfect. Will use your suggestion to use another threads, it was just a reaction, that this happened to me when I started to use the new Slicer version.

Hi, my prusaslicer on macOs mojave always falling when i have large objects, lets say in 13 pieces.  Especially when i do slicing one piece and after i want to move back from preview to 3d editor and slicing next one. All this moves between is a problem and PrusaSlicer falling or cant click slice now. I have macbook 2,4ghz i7,8gb DD3,Geforce 650m 1gb.  Then i dont know how to make undo??  And also when i want to slice  3 objects together from 13 on one bed....i dont know how to pick up those 3 objects......only when they are next each other on the list i can do it. Not when is in the list of objects between those 3 objects different objects....you cant skip one and chose one more for slice together on the bed. Or how could i do it??? Would be good to just off objects like in photoshop lyers while slicing others, so it will works faster and i could chose slice any objects together. Now i have to slice all what goes only alone from many and on the end i can do those together as i can grab them  as they are at the object list next each other.  Waste of time. And how can i upload to filaments list of other producers as there is so many and slicer offers just a very few and even often prusa filaments are sold out....such a mess. I hate researching filaments producers and asking what temperatures are the best..as there is always 190-220 etc. it's like a hobby instead of NO TIME, No time, no time, just click and race! Help to regular users with this.

Hi folks,

I'm having issues downloading the new slicer&co package for win (v2.2.6), it stalls after a couple of minutes/24MB. Did anyone experience that? Some known workaround? (why haven't they created a torrent already???)

I got the slicer from github releases (2.0.0), what else should I get though? What are the other ~280MB about?

Can you create a 3MF with the part and your settings, zip it up and post it here? It's hard to visualize what's going on without being able to look at everything.

Is anyone else having trouble getting this to run? I've installed but when I try and open I just get the time wheel for about 30 seconds then nothing happens. In task manager it says the process is running. Can anyone help?

The issue seems being resolved by redrawing the model removing overlaping and multiple surfaces.

Any chance you'll add support for making Brims as a modifier?

I find myself needing this option quite often. Having to print several items, but only a few of them might need a brim.

It is there, just kind of hidden. Right click on the object in the 3D editor view and you get this menu:

I upgraded to PrusaSlicer on my Windows 8 machine I've been using by executing Prusa3d_win_2_2_6 and when I launch PrusaSlicer it immediately gives the message "Prusaslicer has stopped working" and I can only close the program. I have repeatedly uninstalled, rebooted, redownloaded and reinstalled but it always fails.

Any hints?

What am I missing.  If I import a file and slice it and export G-Code.  I can delete the imported file but when I go to import a new one it just hangs.  If I want to import and slice a new file I have to exit the slicer and restart.  Is this an issue or am I missing something?

Be sure you're on the platter view, not the slice view.

Thank You.  That fixed it.  I figured it was something like this.
