Slic3R-PE, 3D & Preview Different
This is the 3D view of the inside top cover of some widget I'm building. It looks correct.
And this is the Preview view. When I view layers it is constructing what I see in the Preview view. There is no smaller diameter hollow cylinder on top of the larger cylinder.
As if I don't have enough of my own errors. Anyone know what's going on?
Re: Slic3R-PE, 3D & Preview Different
What is the width of the perimeters for the smaller cylinders? Try selecting a smaller nozzle size and slicing again to see if that might help. If you have the source CAD file, you could also try making those cylinders thicker (close to nozzle bore).

Thanks Bob. I'll check that out.
The source can be downloaded from Tinkercad if you'd care to have a look. It's public. User name is Wingsy, model is "Blinds Remote". Right now it's in somewhat of a mess but you'll see the part I'm having trouble with.

That smaller cylinder (the cylinder that's missing) on top of the larger one is a tube with a radius of 2mm and a wall thickness of 0.4mm. Shouldn't that give me one bead of filament comprising the wall with a standard nozzle (.4mm)?

With default settings in Slic3r PE, it takes the "squash" into consideration, and a single wall will be slightly bigger than the nozzle diameter. If you make that wall slightly wider, you should get better results. I'm coming from Cura and relatively new to Slic3r, but it seems like making the wall match the "Extrusion width: External Perimeters" setting is what you want.
Re: Slic3R-PE, 3D & Preview Different
Check Print Settings->Layers and perimeters->Quality->Detect thin walls. Is it enabled? Try it if not.

Detect Thin Walls did the trick! Thanks again Bob.
(My printer arrives tomorrow! At long last. Like, 2 months.)
