Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

If it makes you feel better, I am still waiting for my MK3 kit to be shipped - ordered 31Jan18 (Week 5!). Chat today with agent and was advised that order has been on hold because blue ABS filament is out of stock (I ordered 4 filaments and this one is out of stock)! But I already asked if filament out of stock was reason in mid-April and was told "NO"!! Then on 25 Apr was told that "there's a problem with your address"... I resent the delivery address and was told it has been corrected but not explained what exactly wrong with the address in the first place..... then on 07 May was told by agent that "there's a problem with your address" and as soon as I forwarded chat transcript from 25 Apr detailing that the address problem was supposedly fixed, agent advised that actually the address was correct and that they would "place your order in the priority queue so it should be shipped soon".....asked how soon was "soon" and was advised "this week". Today was advised order on hold due to one of the 4 filaments I ordered was out of stock! Changed filament to another colour that is in stock and was advised that "I will make sure order is moved up the shipping queue since you have been waiting quite a while". No idea when my week 5 order will ship and the order tracking is over 2 weeks out of date and even then the contents of that tracking sheet are woefully incorrect....garbage in garbage out.

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

I have been watching this thread for probably a month now and not responding. I’m also week 10, Black, and haven’t received a shipping notification. Nothing extra added. If they had said shipping May 3rd+ from the beginning it would be ok, but they said early April. Absolutely no emails since the back ordered notification. I’m an extremely patient person but how all this is being handled is extremely mismanaged. I’m not angry I don’t have my printer, I’m ticked at the communication and business practices.

Was just told in chat that the only information they have is what is listed in the shipping table.... so it is highly likely that any info you’re being given is ... fluff.

It is beginning to seem like chat doesn't even know what is going on, on their end...

Agreed +1. The whole "keeping customers in the dark" is just not good. The skipping around is just not fair to those who have been waiting for their printer since week 8 or 9.

Prusa has perhaps the worst communication I've come across when buying online, I've bought cheap $30 Chinese ebay bicycle parts where you can reasonably expect the communication to not be that great (language barrier, time zone differences, low price wouldn't necessitate a large investment in each customer, and so on), and yet I can honestly say the communication puts Prusa to shame !

"Absolutely no emails since the back ordered notification"

Yep, I'm - quite literally - confused by this, why would a company do this, why would they not simply email customers if the shipping had changed, I can't imagine how that even works, how could you shift deliveries by a week and another week, and a couple more, then another week, and at no stage think it might be a good idea to let the customer know . . . . just perplexing.

Prusa wouldn't be the first company to die due to mismanagement of customer expectation.
Such a pity... 😥

Hopefully they can better themselves soon. I would hate to see them fall like you mentioned

The solution is simple, but they have to overcome the inertia of several years worth of learned behavior.
And do it before their competition gains a foothold...

They've managed (at least speaking for myself) to make what should be understandable disappointment at repeated delays feel more like you've been screwed over by a company who are indifferent to their customers . . . . so much of this is about perception rather than the practicalities of delays.

For example . . . try to talk to support about paying €20 for a '2 day UPS Standard' delivery . . . when UPS clearly state 'UPS standard' takes 5 (working days / so could be 7) . . . and you are told to sort it out with UPS yourself . . . any other company would at least attempt to resolve the issue for you . . . as it stands you are left with the perception that Prusa are selling a 2 day delivery service to their customers that no one actually gets.

There is no 2nd day UPS service for international shipments. Obviously UPS can't guarantee this for international locations.

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

So I ordered my assembled mk3 without any additional items on April-8. According to the shipping table it should have beend sent already, as now with May-10 the next week's order should start shipping. So shipping table is obviously outdated 🙂 SURPRISE!! 😀

My orange assembled, ordered on the 5th of April arrived 10 minutes ago.
And it has the T shaped double spool holder.

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

Week 10 orange kit (with no additions). Shipping order last week and order now in the same city (Leed, UK). There's some error with UPS where they don't know if I can pick up my item (which I requested as I knew I wouldn't be in). Hopefully I can pick up today or tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

Just got notification this morning that my orange kit (ordered on 2018-03-14, week 11) has been shipped which fell within a couple days that the shipping table window stated. It's been quite a wait and am glad that it's on its way. On a side note the order just for the printer itself, no other items.

Cheers,

Nuge

Well there are UPS services that will deliver within 2 days (UPS Worldwide Express Freight for example) . . . but my point was that UPS Standard does not deliver within 2 days, UPS clearly state on their website that delivery is "within five days" for UPS Standard (up to 7 with weekends) . . . but Prusa continue to sell their customers a 2 day service that doesn't exist.

You only need look at the numerous posts in this thread where people say ( I'll use leslie.s2 above as an example ) - "I received shipping notice this morning [May 10] for my MK3 kit . . . UPS delivery expected 17 May" . . . so 7 days, in fact with a 5 (working days) service all deliveries except those made on a Monday will take 7 days.

I'm sure after waiting for such a long time for their purchase most people don't mind a few extra days, but I thought it's worth pointing out that Prusa are charging their EU customers for a €20 2 day service that doesn't exist.

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

Week 5 shipped... week 10 shipped... week 11 shipped... forgive me for not reading all 142 pages here, but their shipping strategy sure seems random to me. (Week 10 kit and filament order - still nothing.)
