Almost 7am in the Czech Republic so they should be having their morning Budweiser Lager (Czech has their own Budweiser, totally not American Budweiser) and Kolach for breakfast and start packing MK3's for people who ordered on Sept 25 (Me me me) and sending out their ship notifications (Me me me again).
Good fun waiting and checking the boards with everyone else.

I am joining you in the same boat, with the same amount of anticipation and excitement (ordered early hours of 9/25).

I was in Prague two years ago and became quite fond of Bitburger beer. It's german, but available all over europe. The Svíčková na smetaně was quite nice too! Funny thing is that I stayed in a hotel a block away from the old Prusa warehouse. But at the time, I was not even aware of Prusa Research.

I spent 6 weeks in Germany (20 years ago) and found my favorite had "Budvar" (Czech Budweiser) and Welsh Rarebit in a bar. I was such a regular they gave me a case of Budvar glasses that I still have.

I see a ship date for an order placed on 9/25. Looks like things are on track. Yay!

It's just one tracking number for this week's orders, but 5 tracking numbers were generated today for orders placed on the 24th, meaning that first week's shipping is still ongoing.

Manufacturing and shipping is not linear by any means in small (or large) organizations. Shipping delay of one part can stop production and you could have instruments ready to ship and you just need that one part to stick in the box and the truck is late. Marketing could have misscommunicated shipping data and manufacturing has no idea why marketing made those promises and they had no real chance of ever meeting those commitments. I am on a new product launch with my company right now and half of our sales for the first year are pre-sold for the first 90 day so productions so we have to ramp production for the first 90 day so to do HALF of the our first year sales then dial it back for the rest of the year. New product launches show what your company is made of and so far Prusa is doing well IMO. I have been on product launches that have missed launched dates you can measure in years and yes we took pre-orders.

Still no news for the few MK2S returners who exchanged their order into a MK3 - I really expected to be in the "starting December 13th" wave of shipments, after it became obvious that most of the "MK2S" customers were NOT among the Launch Weekend shipments.

I really hope to get the shipping notice soon - before Christmas is what I was expecting to happen after everything that was told when handling the return.

Another chart suggestion... If not too complex to graph or display...

How about a time to ship by country chart.? From ship date to received date by country in number of days.

Just a thought. Finally got an email today, hopefully shipping soon.

Every chart has been created by a user, such as yourself, that wanted to see a metric in graph form. So if you want the chart, just go nuts. (Try not destroying existing charts though. ^_^)

Ordered the first printer on the 23rd of September. I received it on the 4th of December.

The second printer I ordered on the 25th of September and the label was just created today!

Sept 25 shipping notice Dec 14. WoooHooo. Might get it before we leave for Christmas trip. :D. 3:30PM in Czech. UPS probably picks up at 4PM latest from Prusa. There is a chance my box will be on the Pallet today for shipping to the USA. Worst holiday week in the world to ship stuff though.

adam8789 Please unlock row 136 (see edit). Someone locked Orders!A136:L136 and only you can unlock it.

Tools > Protect Sheet... > Cancel > Orders!A136:L136 > Trashcan

Basically the whole thing is fed if we can't edit columns A-L anymore.

This is why we can't have nice things guys. Stop fing around with things you don't understand. You cannot accidentally lock a range like that, this was almost certainly intentional.

Edit: People keep inserting rows so the exact number may change. It's the locked row which has Gummientchen's info. Was trying to avoid calling anyone out in particular but the row keeps moving and I'm not going to update the number on this comment every time someone inserts a row above this one.. :P.

On another note, looks like we have 74 orders shipped out of 298 tracked. Now I don't want to get anyone's hopes up too much, but if we assume we have roughly the same capture rate week after week, we can estimate nearly 25% of orders are shipped!

Again, assuming the average capture rate is correct, it looks like they're on track for ~50% fulfillment by the new year, getting caught up to current orders around late Jan. This is exactly what Prusa Research has publicly told us, but it's good to see they didn't grossly overestimate their capacity.

Of course, the more orders we are tracking, the closer to "average" we reach, which enhances our prediction accuracy significantly, but I think we've capture enough now that our averages are close enough to give us a good idea of where we're going.

Basically, on it's own it means nothing 😛

It is simply checking order numbers, and trying to estimate how many orders were placed each week, then trying to calculate what % of orders are being tracked on the charts. The problem is that it's including ALL orders, not just MK3 orders, so the capture % is actually a lot better than it looks.

It isn't based on any solid data, just the reported order numbers from each user, so we must take it with a big *** grain of salt :P. Being very conservative, I would guess we have somewhere between 5% and 10% capture rate each week. I really have no idea, though. Only someone from Prusa Research could tell us for sure how many orders there were/are and their statuses.

I linked the script I used to generate the Total Order Volume data in my earlier post back on page 12. I figured since we have the data we might as well try to get something out of it, even if it is very unreliable and not very useful.

I pretty much operate under the assumption that the only interesting data point each day is the latest order, which should have the highest order number. If you subtract the previous day's highest order number you should get a somewhat reliable estimation of that day's number of orders.

This breaks down somewhat since time zones may shift people's orders into the wrong date. Also some days are missing order numbers, when that happens I just find the next day that has at least one order number and figure out the number of orders for the whole "missing" period, and divide that number by the number of days. That is why the graph has long segments of horizontal lines. We have less of them now than in the beginning, since more people add their order numbers.

I'm considering trying to use the mean or median order number instead, maybe those numbers will be less volatile. As it looks right now, I'm pretty sure some orders have been shifted from sep 28 and sep 30 into sep 29.

Edit: Changed to using mean instead of max, made the graph look a bit nicer, not as jagged.
