Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

Orange kit I ordered March 6th is shipping today.

UPS is showing delivery on Tuesday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(That was weird the original post was double or triple spaced between the letters, moving the second line down fixed it)

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

I spoke to chat this afternoon, and they informed me that they are currently still on track with the update that was made last week. (Thanks to the new shipping system.) This means no expected changes, pushed backed delivery dates, or delays!!!

And mine should still ship Monday, or even tomorrow she said! 😀

Mmmm . . .

It's the 4th of May today . . . .

The Week 12 and Week 13 shipping schedule - for the assembled Mk3 - is (respectively) April 30th and May 3rd.

Those two dates have passed, yet week 12 and week 13 orders have not shipped, so it's not clear how they can claim they are on track ?

I had a week 13 order, it shipped early (Apr 27) and I just got it today (May 3). Assembled orange.

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

I really can't figure out why Prusa are shipping printers out of sequence, but it seems clear that the Shipping Table is a fairly fair (if not totally accurate) portrayal of dispatch estimates. The biggest issue is the fact the Shipping Table dates keep rolling back as the days/weeks since placing an order tick by, but time catches up with the delayed estimated dispatch dates eventually.

Situation seems to be like this right now:

Order a Black machine and you'll likely be waiting longer (by a few days or even 1-3 weeks) than purchasers of Orange printers.

Order a pre-built printer and you should receive it approx. 2 weeks earlier than a kit purchased on the same day.

Whatever the Shipping Table estimates the delivery date to be when you place an order, add on 3-6 weeks.

Be aware that the Shipping Table does make allowances for Prusa's slow and unorganised dispatch method by suggesting printers bought over periods of up to 3 weeks are being dispatched simultaneously. This seems legit. So you may receive your printer 1-2 weeks earlier than expected. Those buyers might share their tales of glory on the forum 😀 which makes those whose order numbers were placed earlier but who are still waiting start to panic. It's not fair, but patience is key.

Be sure you haven't specified the powder coated print sheets or you'll be waiting until they become available (nobody knows when that'll be).

Under some circumstances, if you have added filament and other items to your order that may be out of stock this could delay dispatch of your printer too. If you're worried Live Chat with customer service.

My Week 8 (feb 22nd) order of a Black Kit was finally dispatched yesterday. It was toward the end of the 3 times delayed but currently estimated Shipping Table estimate. 6 days delivery to the UK from Prague seems a little long, but I can now look forward to building the kit soon.

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

I bought an Orange Kit and some filament 07/03 and now I see that people that bought the same kit 1 and 2 days later have already received tracking number.
This is unacceptable.

Prusa has horrible logistics!

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

just rechecked with chat my week 10 printer delivery status, possibly bounced to the week of the 14th of May. This is getting ridiculous. I wouldn't mind so much if they were more honest about what is going on. The delivery schedule is obviously totally out of date (again).

Simply not true according to 2 different chat staff.

Either you were lied to or I was. Week 10 delayed again according to chat staff.

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

Checked with chat last night about delays in week 8 black kits versus orange kits and was told there was no difference as far as shipping. Asked why March orders have shipped and week 8 orders haven't, was told they are all in queue. Asked if I changed to orange I can get my kit sooner, was told there was no difference.

I am almost ready to cancel my order, I've learned enough in the three months I've been waiting that I could probably build my own right now!

Tony

P.S. Looking at the "unofficial spreadsheet, looks like none of the week 8 kits have shipped! (2-24-18) at least the one people have added to the spreadsheet

+1 Or you were lied to.

And looking at the recent people updating the spreadsheet they are updating on track with the dates in the last update. Ok, maybe not the people who are WAAAAAAAAY behind, but those people/orders (As unfortunate as it is, and I hate it for them) have something else wrong, or going on, and as it has been stated here recently it is usually something about their original order.

I wouldn’t doubt that I have been lied to again but I have not seen more than 3 - 4 kits reported as sent to the USA from week 10.

I was told on thursday that my kit was going to ship most likely on friday (bought week 10, mar 7th). I contacted them again on friday because I was tired of seeing kits shipped bought after me and they told me they will ship it this week.

They did not answer why they are not shipping chronologically.

Edit: On the chat. week 10 kit pushed to next week (week 20).

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

Just wanted to provide a quick update for those that might be in the same situation as I found myself in. I ordered my MK3 black/orange kit back towards the end of February. The orders for that week are "Now Shipping", but my order stayed in a "Backorder" status. I knew they were running ab it behind and I figured I'd just chat with support to possibly get some insight as to when it might ship out. They said "next week" - which came and went a a couple of weeks ago.

Tonight I chatted with them again and they said that I had requested/ordered the PEI powdered coated sheet and they weren't in stock yet. Well, I ordered the kit as-is which comes with that sheet, but don't recall that being an option of which sheet I wanted when I placed my order. So back at the beginning of March, I put a "message' in the order to "ship even if the PEI powdered sheet was NOT available and to send me the discount to get one afterwards when becomes available. Turns out they were holding my order and had to change my order details to specify the "smooth" sheet. Hopefully this will update in a few days and maybe get shipped out soon. So for those who are waiting and waiting, maybe this is the issue and worth a chat with them.

Woohoo!! Woke up this morning to an email that my order shipped! Should be here next week if there are no UPS shipping delays. So it was indeed being held up due to the order having the powder coated plate! Crazy as I had requested it be shipped if it was not available. Can't wait to put this together and start printing. Hopefully the powder coated sheets issue will be resolved in the near future and they'll provide us out the discount to order one w/free shipping. So again, those of you waiting - maybe a good idea to contact them if this may be holding you up too.

Best Regards,
Nelson

Well, just checked my tracking progress on UPS and it appears stuck in Germany with the statement "Additional documentation is required for clearance. We're working to obtain this information." Has anyone seen or had this before? Spoke with chat and they said it was a UPS error and will still ship out. So hopefully no delays and kit will arrive okay (and work well once I put it together correctly). Anyhow, just wanted to give another heads-up to those of you who may see this too.
