Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

Hmm. I wonder if I should bug anyone. If I'm reading the sheet correctly I'm week 52 (ordered dec. 12) and should have already shipped/arrived?

I feel the same as you rick.b10. (to stay polite). 👿 👿 👿 👿

The customer service with their all prepared answre so that you can go away and they can forget what is agreed.

Prusa don't give a shit about the order of the orders and the announcement of consistent deadlines.

"next week"

"next week"

"next week"

"next week"

blablabla !

I wish that Prusa delivers the orders before mine, and mine before the one after ! is it so difficult ?!
is not it the purpose of pre-orders?

(my business partner, being desperate for the management of Prusa, ordered a CR10 yesterday
instead of another mk3... and it was shipped today...) 😥 😥

Another week, another delay. They are still blaming the flu.

Ordered my Black kit on 2/15. "Was told it would ship this week", it has not, and will not @ this point. I cannot say this has been a great first impression of dealing with Prusa. But I also understand the issues they are dealing with.

Has yours shipped now ?
Mine got the shipping label about 2hrs ago. (Blk mk3 kit no extras. Ordered 18/2)

Feb 10 w/PETG - I talked to Support again Friday. Guy I talked to said that 'he'd leave a note for shipping team' to be shipped today (Monday). Also expressed frustration with the new shipping system. Hopefully it ships soon^tm.... But I know there are people from well before me who still haven't gotten it yet.

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

I can't understand why they haven't catched up yet.

Prusa has around 300 printers to produce new parts and they can make parts for a new printer in 24h.

That's around 1500 printers every week. Even with issues and failed prints you should have atleast new 1000 printer every week.

The bottleneck must be suppliers of other parts or trained ppl to assamble kits.

Actually around 27hrs per printer to print a new one. means actually only around 1300 max per week can be printed.
(Take into account errors, printing mk2.5 upgrade parts, mk2s parts, mmu parts since all are still being sold. and could be less than 1000 printers per week able to be printed)

As of Christmas they had shipped 2k of them
As of March 2 they had shipped almost 8k of them. (That includes with the 2 week shut down over christmas / newyears.) thus thats 6k printers shipped in that 8 weeks i.e around 750 printers shipped per week)
If they've done that 750 a week since then that means around 5.6k more shipped by now meaning around 13.6k Mk3 kits have shipped.

Take into account 15-20% of the production staff have been sick, the heatbeds they were having a trouble with engraving along with their partners being slower than expected in delivering them. They've stated that they produced only 2/3rds of what they've been expecting to due to those issues.

They actually say they ship about 500 packages per day. so 2500 packages going out per week from them (Includes things other than mk3 kits obviously)

I have not received any notification of my order proceeding as of yet. I'm giving them one more week.

Maybe they could get some good advice from the Tesla model 3 managers? 😉

Hopefully this is easier to sort out than a fully robotic production line.

Let's hope it holds true! 🙂

I see from my shipping note that planned delivery is 2nd of May. Too bad: The first 7-10 days of May I have visitors and won't have time to build. I had hoped to get it before this weekend (or actually, before Easter 😉 ) so I could tinker a bit before May arrives. This is going to cost me all the restraint I have left 😛

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

My shipment is already being processed at the clearance agency btw. Can that be right?

LOCATION DATE LOCAL TIME ACTIVITY
24.04.2018 13:07 Your package is being processed at the clearance agency.
Czechia 24.04.2018 13:07 Order Processed: Ready for UPS

Must be amazingly slow processing if its going to take till mid next week before delivery.

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

Wow, the shipping schedule is - very simply - bullshit.

April 23rd shipping changed to April 30th which changed to May 7th . . . and all those changes were in just one week !

Can Prusa not simply be more honest with their shipping schedule and give more realistic estimates ?

I suspect if Prusa were to tell customers that their purchase would ship in X weeks or X months then a percentage of those customers would probably take their business elsewhere, so there's clearly a motivation to give out more optimistic (but knowingly wrong) shipping dates ?

Yeah I was in the 'Ordered march 12th bunch' which was originally scheduled for the 23rd. I have checked the ship date almost daily out of impulse. I will say this is the most drastic change. Typically it jumps by a week max but this jumped by 2 weeks. Maybe this is the more accurate projection. Maybe their new system finally got caught up and indexed all their current orders and ran its calculations? In better news, I haven't seen much strife on PSUs blowing up or any other hardware problems (unless the forum re-org is good at hiding them). So maybe the early batches were bad? Just trying to be optimistic while i wait... and wait some more.

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

Ordered mine MK3 kit on 2/10 got my shipping notice today 4/24, if I remember correctly when I ordered it the Prusa Current shipping table showed a ship date for the week of 3/19 so about 4 weeks late. I have been checking the Google spreadsheet daily and it seems like the weeks 5 & 6 orders didn't ship in order for some reason? hopefully they got it straightened out now and the rest of the week 5 & 6 printers will also be shipping.
