Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet
It sucks waiting, but it's kind of cool that they eat their own dog food and make the printers with their own printers. That was a selling point for me.
I think if they outsourced everything the Prusa wouldn't be any better than the CR-10. Not that the CR-10 is bad, but they wouldn't be as motivated to make auto leveling, self diagnostics, etc. because they don't have to use it everyday.
Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet
I agree, and I work for an outsourcer (12 years and counting). LOL...
Prusa has been much better about service, despite interim communications concerns I've had, than other similar small 3D printing companies.... They've been in touch with me since my package froze in Germany/disappeared, or whatever happened, and I really appreciate them for that....
UPS on the other hand, they are acting like fools here in the US. That's all I can say, without this post becoming a book. 😛

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet
Am I going to wait a extra Week just because Ive been ordering black parts for my printer?😢
Would I've known....But that was a surprise actually ......Why is it so? Or is it just speculation?😢
Thought it was the same delivery time on both colors.....Or am I totally wrong?
Seems a bit strange that Prusa team makes the orange one first or something don't follow the string of that .....???
Can anyone tell.me why?
Thanks I'll hope to get tracking today.....!😊
Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet
UPS is being really dumb/derpy.... Mine froze at that step for a bit, but is FINALLY past that step. Once you're past that step, things go fast.

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet
I just advanced the highlighting for Kit Units to Week 43 as it is now Thursday, January 25th at ~9:00 AM in Prague, Czechia, and orders for Jan 25th will soon be shipping (next ~12 hours).

Edit: With the "Week" shipping periods becoming so short, sometimes only a few days before progressing to the next week, I think the color scheme on the chart was implying very few orders were active in "the last few days", when in fact they had been switched from green to gray simply because the next week had started. As such, I split the "Shipping Passed" state by adding "Shipping Recently" - one shade lighter of grey. I made the "Shipping Passed" color one shade darker to make them more distinct.
This now leaves us with the Dark Grey orders which can be considered "passed"/historical, and the Light Grey orders which can be considered "active in the last week or so", followed by the Green orders which are "active in the last few days or so". This makes the Orders sheet more closely resemble the "Happening Recently" sheet, and makes it easier to spot orders which may have shipped in the last few days, but technically shipped in the previous "week".
Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet
Any appetite for cleaning up the Orders page on the Spreadsheet to start closing out older (forgotten) orders and start getting our estimates a bit tighter?
Proposed fixes would be on 10/22 or before, be for kit only with No extras noted.
The artificial tracking, ship, and receive dates would be close to those entries directly before & after the empty row. Anything more aggressive here and live orders would get stepped on.
I'm willing to tidy things up, but only if there is a good deal of thumbs up from the forum.

I would advise against doing this.
It is better to just keep in mind that some orders won't be updated. The "current averages" numbers only care about the last week or so's data anyway.
If we start to manually affect the rows in the chart based on what we guess the statistics of the chart should be, we create a feedback loop where we are just sculpting the statistics to be what we want them to be.

I'm totally OK with that. If the averages aren't including everything historical, there is no need to clean up. I found a few free moments at work today and thought I offer up the help. Happy to leave things be.
