Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

corey 3d , great for you..
sometimes i think its fcked up to live in europe,
this is one of them,( i had this "problem" also with my vr headsets few years ago)
it looks that the people who get their shipment earlier are from the USA and not forget the strange pricing prusa obtained .
you guys are paying much less then us/me ...798 U.S. dollars =667.229659 Euros
i paid 791,34 € = 946,434727 U.S. dollars

Sorry, by all means I am not trying to brag. I shared my excitement because I thought prusa was going to have a big shipping day and get a lot of these orders out the door.

That's insane that you guys have to pay so much extra. Is that because of the European taxes?

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

i am really happy for you.. really no hard feelings 😀

Indeed for europe the tax is already within the price.
But i thought i heard prusa kept the US price just under the 800dollar mark to avoid extra tax on your side.
Do you guys still have to pay tax over that ampunt that prusa already billed you, because then the prices are comming closer to the same level i think.

No, I know. I wanted to just clarify because I understand how disappointing it is to feel like you've been skipped. I've been on a hype rollercoaster with this machine.

I believe I read that the U.S. import tax threshold was $1,000, but don't quote me on that. There were some buried threads here where people said that they didn't have to pay import taxes on their orders that were more than $1,000.

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

Usually on orders I've made from the EU, they remove the VAT, which can be 15-20some %.

That makes sense since what you paid for the Prusa is about 18% more than the US price, which is a typical VAT.

But then again the EU has much better healthcare, etc than the US does 😉

I'll need it as I'm starting to suffer from early delivery envy 😆

Enjoy your early surprises guys and galls 🙂

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

As I posted a day or so ago, my tracking finally showed pickup after nearly three weeks from the issuance of said number. Then UPS promptly declared it delayed right there in Prague. 24+ hours later that is still the status within UPS, though Prusa did send me a shipment confirmation today as well.

Funky. Makes it out the door and then appears to be promptly stuck in the mud (if the tracking is correct).

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

I ordered on 10/28 and I just received an e-mail that my MK3's shipping label was created. I'm updating the spreadsheet accordingly.

Edit because I'm in disbelief I started a chat with a CSR

[3:23:50 PM] me: Hello, just received a super exciting email that my MK3 is being packed and a label was created. I just wanted to make sure that it's correct because it's shipping ahead of schedule.

[3:24:14 PM] Blas: Blas joined conversation

[3:24:17 PM] Blas: hello

[3:24:29 PM] Blas: can you give me the order number ?

[3:27:38 PM] me: Yes, sorry

[3:27:47 PM] me: order number redacted

[3:29:33 PM] Blas: yes, should be packed and ship before the end of this week

[3:30:08 PM] me: Really? That's awesome! The MK3 right?

[3:30:39 PM] Blas: yes

[3:32:38 PM] me: Wow, awesome. Thank you so much. Sorry, I've been waiting for almost 3 months. Super excited.
[3:33:00 PM] Blas: you are welcome

I ordered mine on 10/21 and no shipping label yet, something is not right.

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

I see that somebody in the USA ordered TWO black MK3's plus some filament and two ruby nozzles on 12/15, and got a tracking number and shipping number TODAY. How the heck is that right? They moved up by two months!!!

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

Please keep in mind the following:

* People can enter wrong dates into the spreadsheet.
* People can misunderstand what different emails or Prusa support tell them.
* People can be trolls.

We have a lot of people editing the spreadsheet, statistically we're gonna have errors. Please don't use the spreadsheet as an argument that PR are doing things wrong until we have clear confirmation. And no, Corey, I won't consider it confirmed until you actually have your printer delivered. ^_^

Odd. I happened to ask UPS this morning and got this reply:

“As of the 9th it was scanned in Prague, it's still there. I would contact the shipper. They keep scanning it shipper error, I would have them check on their end. ^CC”

Curious to see if anything moves today.

I completely understand the skepticism, as I am still skeptical that I'm still actually receiving an MK3. The reason why I say that is because I swapped my order for an MK2S and then asked the CSR to revert the change around 6 hours later. My current order confirmation says MK3 and I'm sure it's going to be a circus to get repaired if I receive an MK2S.

I will certainly post back either way.

Ok. I am going to shut up now. Literally minutes after mentioning it is still in UPS limbo in Prague and UPS confirming that (above), I get an alert that it is in Philly and arrives tomorrow. The whole UPS timeline just snapped from stuck to 36 hours of constant unimpeded movement as I had dared to hope. Bizarre but pleasing news. 🙂

Ok, I lied. I'm not shutting up yet. It turns out Prusa might have upgraded or otherwise changed the shipping since I just noticed the tracking I've been following remains the same but the notice I got showing Philly is a whole new shipment. The original tracking is Express Saver and it's Worldwide Saver now. So that means the Prusa shipping notice is the "real" one and my 12/21 tracking is toast.

And hello, Corey, there in Bucks County! Been to Doylestown a few times since it has deep family ties including where my Mom went to high school and my parents were married. 🙂 I call Virginia, home, though.

Could they be grouping shipments by location? My shipment just went out the other day, and I'm in Philly proper. That could explain the out of order shipments?

We have seen grouping patterns in deliveries in december.

11/10 order here, was told yesterday that they expect to ship my order in february. So despite the last few early shipments, they seem to be at least one week behind schedule which seems consistent with the datasheet except for the last few exceptions 😉

PS: curious when the first powder coated sheets go out...

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

Just a quick update. Ordered 10/5. Label created 12/21 and sat in "clearance" until 1/9 when as of 20 minutes ago UPS tracking still had the "delayed" message. Just got an email from UPS that I should expect a delivery from Prusa Research tomorrow. I'm in California.

Edit: it is under a different tracking number. Old was was the typical 1Z.... format. New one starts with a W. No update to my account status page with the new tracking number.
