To be clear - I don't disagree on both points. Holiday time is much deserved and if they are dealing with issues, I'd rather get the post-corrected version than prior if it's hardware (though I don't at all mind working through reprinting new parts, etc., for the depth of understanding that provides... I buy a kit because I like getting my hands dirty). Software issues I can deal with as upgrades happen. They, too, provide valuable printer insight as the fixes happen.
I was just lamenting the frustration of getting a tracking number early enough that I was all jazzed to dig into the build process while I had 10 days off. I've got plenty of other projects in the hopper, though... 🙂
Actually, the issues being reported have gotten me digging into deeper calibration of MK2S to both increase my knowledge for possible MK3 troubleshooting and to have a solid quality benchmark to meet or exceed once I do have my MK3.
My shipping notice was generated at 5pm CET on Friday the 22nd. When I chatted with support on Wednesday the 27th, I was told it would ship "today or at least tomorrow". When I chatted with support on Friday the 29th, I was told "It is being packed right now, UPS didnt pick up during Christmas, thats why it took so long". As of 6:30pm CET, January 2nd, my kit still hasn't shipped, and now the "chat with support" feature seems to have been removed from the website.
If Prusa Research was going to be shut down for the week of the 25th, then they should have just said so up front. They certainly shouldn't have generated a bunch of tracking numbers and then not shipped stuff.
I solve problems, usually with computers ...

Chat feature was there for me. They said my order should ship either this or next week. That narrows it down ;P.

Seems like not much happend between the holidays and about 1 Printer got tracking today......I'm quite worried. ...Seems like they didn't thought this through enough.....Every single day of? That's allot....
Feels a little strange actually or is it just me that are a bit extra annoyed?

Seems like not much happend between the holidays and about 1 Printer got tracking today......I'm quite worried. ...Seems like they didn't thought this through enough.....Every single day of? That's allot....

I do not know where do you live, but in Czechia (and whole EU) we have mandatory 20+ days of paid vacation. There is no way around that, actually if people don't use it up, we have to force them or get into trouble 😉 People save up the days and use it by the end of the year to spend time with their families. If we do not have at least 50% of the production in, we can only do preparations, but cannot finish the whole product.

It's not mandatory here in the US but a lot of us have a "use it or lose it" policy. Our shop is pretty much empty the last 2 weeks of every year. As much as I want my printer to ship, I also understand the need for a break to spend time with family, all work and no play isn't good for production or quality...

Yeah. My first job out of college only offered 5 days of vacation. I burned out pretty quick, after a year and a half I just said fuck it and walked out. On a different note..... I GOT TRACKING!!!!! 😆

Why lock the spreadsheet? Makes it kind of pointless. It was a perfectly good self regulating system.

It has been locked for at least the last ten hours, a little long for just a "temp lock". The scripts don't even have access.

It is locked because it says I need owner privileges to make changes. With google sheets, multiple people can live edit the same spreadsheet. It was purposefuly locked, try for yourself.

I haven't made any changes to the sheet in a week or two, so I really dont know whats going on. Everyone with the link should have edit access.
Looks like the link was somehow changed to "View Only."

I got my tracking on the second and still not shipped ,support said there was production problems when I asked today and they would be shipping again tomorrow or Monday, I’m taking everything with a pinch of salt and am bored of checking the status.
