Prusa Slicer 2.0 issues on a delta printer

I know I am not an official prusa printer user, but when I saw that prusa slicer 2.0 officially supported circular print beds I decided to check it out. Cura was working fine but Prusa slicer looked incredible. Everything looked great, but when I actually tried using the g code on my printer the acceleration was terrible. It would slow down at random points, way below my desired 150mm/s, and it would randomly ramp up to speed at point that didn't make sense. I made the acceleration 3000mm/s in the slicer but the same issues persisted. I messed around with the acceleration value, and when the acceleration was higher the prints were faster but still very awkward acceleration. I don't know what settings I might be missing, or if its a problem with the printer. Let me know what you guys think might be the problem. This is the anycubic kossel delta plus btw. Thanks!

RE: Prusa Slicer 2.0 issues on a delta printer

There have been a few posts from users of 3rd party printers with similar problems. I believe one individual was able to deal with the problem by working on the Printer Settings->Machine limits tab to make sure everything matched his hardware. Unfortunately, the new forum has really messed up the search function, so I'm not able to easily locate that thread for you.

I believe someone also posted a similar issue on Prusa's PrusaSlicer github recently. You might post there to "make it official" that this is happening to more than one user.

RE: Prusa Slicer 2.0 issues on a delta printer

I've been using PRUSA Slicer (using Version 2.2 at the moment) on my three delta printers for a couple of years. I also noticed all the speed settings and found the easiest way to ignore them was Expert Settings, then Printer Settings-->GCODE flavour-->Reprap/Sprinter... That disables all the speed settings via the slicer and relies on the firmware settings in the printers.

Makes it easy to switch back and forth between my MK3S and the deltas.
