Prusa ABS-T worst filament I have ever used

So I wanted to print with some ABS. I have bought it a number of times from 2.85mm to 1.75mm. I used my Lulzbot mini and my MK3s. Never had one issue not even without an enclosure. I always bought from Atomic Filament. I decided to try prusa abs-t because I really like the bright green. This stuff is absolute garbage. It just warps. I have an enclosure, I also raised to room temp to 70f, I have gone hot and i have gone cool, I have raised the bed temp and lowered it. By the time I might get a print that isn't warped the entire kilo of filament will be gone and I will be out 40 bucks on filament that someone knows is not good filament. I have printed: TPE, TPU, ABS, ASA, PET-G, PLA, Colorfabb XT. I know for a fact it is not the environment, the printer, or anything else. It's the filament. It is terrible. The ASA I printed had no warp until I was almost filling the bed.

Do not buy the prusa ABS-T or Easy ABS. I think those are the two names for it. You will waste your money. Go buy from Atomic or another place.

Have you reported this to Prusa?

I'm not having problems with it ...

But then again, my prints are designed to not warp ...  See those little ridges?  Those clips print flat side down on the bed - two sides make a clip.  That green one in the middle is ABS-T.

Just to be correct, that ABS-T or easyABS is not made by Prusa. You just bought it probably in their eshop. They have sell from more producers.  Prusa made filament is called always Prusament. And ABS is not in their portfolio.

Take a look to the print temperature. Because I had at home some ABS to be printed at 250°C and some at 220°C. Try to adapt the profile.

I had a lot of trouble with ABS-T as well. Once I managed to tweak the settings I could fix all the warping problems, believe it or not. But even if the print _looks_ perfect, there's almost no strength along the Z axis because of the incredibly poor layer adhesion. It is brittle enough that you can break a 5 cm long 1 cm wide shaft (100% infill) with no effort at all.

I just checked; it seems they've stopped selling it. For good reason.

I tried in increments of 5 C all the way from 235 to 260. It does affect warping and the print quality, but in the end nothing I did prevented the models from turning out really, really brittle. I think Prusa stopped selling these for good reason.

Does the filament itself, like right off the spool, before printing, appear brittle, like does it tend to snap rather than bend?

Have you tried drying the filament and testing it again?

The filament doesn't seem brittle coming right off the spool. It's about as brittle as say PLA, going by the "how many times can I bend this filament back and forth before it breaks?" test. What do you mean by drying the filament? The device and the filament are both in a room that stays at about 30% RH, and I can't really change that a whole lot.

RE:

I started printing using a reel of white ABS-T that I purchased from Prusa a few years ago and am very happy with the results.

The big problem here is the temps stated were way to high.

The Filament labels said 230-250c and bed 110c. It printed perfectly for me at Nozzle 230/230 and Bed 100.

I starting with the standard Prusa ABS filament profile, adjusted the temps down, changed Fill Pattern to Gyroid,  added an 8mm brim with zero separation and organic supports. First layer speed 20%.

This material does what it was designed to do. It makes it easy to print ABS in a hot climate or with a simple enclosure where the temp is kept around 34c at the height of your filament reel. (box without a lid will do it). My Ensi board is inside the enclosure and is reporting 60c. Infared thermometer is reporting 87c on the print at layer 14.60. I will comment on temp at top of print later.  See my post about glue stick prep which gave me good grip without damaging the plate.

Yes there could be warping issues with a long object but printing vertically like this I ended up with a dimensionally accurate print.

The smoothest finish I have ever seen from ABS.  Organic support took a lot to break so its strong enough for the job.

I am keen to buy more but can't find ABS-T or Easy ABS locally.
