Printing Nylon

Hey, just a really quick question. I am going to print nylon soon, at least I have to print nylon soon and i was wondering, whether that is possible with the MK3 without replacing the hot end? I read here: https://www.matterhackers.com/articles/printing-with-nylon
that the PTFE tube might cause problems and that I might have to replace it by an all-metal-hotend but that's quite a big change for now... Also I read in different posts about printing nylon and there no one talked about having the hot end replaced first? Sorry if the question is stupid, I am very very new to all of this.

Re: Printing Nylon

MK3 uses E3D V6 hotend - the one recommended for nylon in the article you linked. PTFE tube in E3D V6 ends in the heatsink and does not go into the melt zone making it all metal hotend. No need to replace it.

If you try and take a cat apart to see how it works, the first thing you have on your hands is a nonworking cat.

Re: Printing Nylon

Just an expansion on the answer above: If you are going to be printing with Nylon X (Carbon Fiber infused Nylon), you will need a hardened steel nozzle or a Ruby Olsen. It will eat your stock nozzle in a single print. Normal Nylons will print all day with the included nozzle with no issue.
