Power coated sheet

Hi all.

When I bought my printer a few years ago, it was when the powder coated sheets were coming out but there was a delay in manufacturing or the quality wasn't up to scratch.

Printers bought during this time were either offered a discount on a powder coated sheet or one for free - I can't quite remember.

I never got mine.

Sooooooooo, I assume it's too late now but it's always worth asking if there's a chance of getting a discount on one, even after all this time.

However I assume that's not going to work after all this time.

Thanks,

Sean

RE: Power coated sheet

you probably missed the boat,
we can't answer for Prusa,
It won't hurt to ask! try the Chat service on the E shop page.

Some folk say that the prusa textured sheet is difficult to use with PLA...   and the delivery costs are significant,

You may wish to get one of the aftermarket textured build plates, such as 'thekkiinngg'  off Ebay, or 'Energetic' off Aliexpress or Ebay,
or one of the other vendors

I have used the energetic textured build plate with good results, but not the 'thekkiinngg' one

RE: Power coated sheet

I was able to get one of the powder coated textured sheets that way, it was the end of March, 2019. I received an email with a link to the product and there was a voucher that allowed a discount. They didn't allow any additional parts or filament to be added to the order, I paid $14.99 for the sheet, shipping included. There's no item number on the invoice, I'm sure I had to click through an email link to get to the reduced price sheet. You could login to your Prusa account on the e-shop and click the "my vouchers" button to see if it's still there but I would think it's expired by now? Good luck!

RE: Power coated sheet

I've used the BCZAMD textured sheets with great success. Worked with anything I threw at them easily, unlike the Prusa sheet. Recently I've switched to the satin sheets. Awesome.
