Re: Powder-coated sheets vouchers?
Sweet, so you're October 1st? Hopefully I'll get my e-mail soon, I'm October 28th. I know a ton of printers were probably ordered since the 1st to the 28th but I'm hoping
Pardon my lousy calculation of time elapsed, now corrected. My order was 24th Sept. Hope you get yours soon!
Re: Powder-coated sheets vouchers?
Still haven't seen any sign of the voucher email for the TXT sheet for the Mk2.5 conversion kit I ordered 18th October last year though... still waiting...
I have been waiting on news about the voucher for my MK2.5 upgrade from the 6th of Nov 2017 and recently contacted support about it. I've been told that only MK3 orders will get it and no current plans to send them for the MK2.5 orders (or at least that's how I understand it). I personally don't think I will ever get the Textured Sheet for my MK2.5 order but eh, at least the PEI sheet works well enough.
Re: Powder-coated sheets vouchers?
Were they promised with MK2.5 orders? I thought couchers were only an MK3 thing.

Re: Powder-coated sheets vouchers?
Vouchers were promised for the original Mk2.5 conversion kits which were back ordered from day of release, because they were ready to ship except for the powder coated sheets. They were shipped with the smooth sheet and a promise that the same $10 off and free shipping would apply as on the Mk3 pre-orders.

I would contact support and show them and documentation you might have to collaborate this.

I have an email about the upgrade kit which states that MK2.5 and MK3 upgrade kits will be delivered in a similar style, with a $10 + free shipping voucher. If they would only include the MK3 printers that would mean anyone who bought an upgrade didn't get the so called upgrade as advertised. In my case, the main selling point was the removable plate with the texture (I've always wanted to get the same texture as on the printed parts of my original MK2s. I didn't really get a choice in selecting a different plate for faster shipping and delivery was delayed over 5 months.

Yep, that's the email I still have from the 2nd Mar prior to my Mk2.5 upgrade shipping. Awaiting the TXT plate voucher...
Re: Powder-coated sheets vouchers?
Just had a conversation with Chat.
Apparently the latest vouchers they have sent out were for orders up to 24th September. Bummer, my order was on the 29th so ...
you are on our list for second batch, so it should be till end of november or early december
Not sure why they'd need the vague date unless they're waiting for others to select their choice.
What a shower of shit.
I see others on the thread all happy to forgive and forget or Prusa listened so all is equal in the world again but that's rubbish. They didn't listen. They actively ignored us for an extended period and then changed tact when they felt they wanted to. The whole handling of the Mk3 situation has been a farce and quite clearly been about cash grabbing rather than customer satisfaction. Worse still, it's a situation that looks like it's still going to be going on for a fair while.
Ahh well, i'll wait for my build plate then i'm outta here 😀

Vague date is probably depending on their yield on their next batch. Keep in mind that they're still getting a ton of defective / unusable sheets per batch so if they get a smaller yield than normal it could take longer.
Printing from SD sometimes stops when printing the skirt
I have been printing soldly for several months now.. Initially from SD, and then from Octoprint..
I have a project that I am going to print many times and figured that for this kind of job it would be worth having it on SD so I can do a standalone print..
So I created the GCODE and kicked off the print and to my surprise the print just stopped when doing thje skirt.. There was no errors it just stopped and the heaters turned off.
I repeated the job and it was fine, so I thought nothing of it... I have since printed the same job 10 times and no problem.. But today its doing the same thing.. 1/3 of the way around the Skirt it stops printing.. And this time its done it 4 times in a row..
Anyone got any thoughts?
Jon
Re: Powder-coated sheets vouchers?
Wouldn't you have thought that they'd have experienced this yield issue at some point when they were using the textured sheets in their own print farm before they even mentioned selling the Mk3 ? Surely even with a smaller quantity there's still going to be a failure rate.
I guess that's just digging over old ground.
Another annoying thing is they're prepared to offer up to 17,000 completely free PEI stickered build plates to those affected but they still want us to pay for the textured one based on the discount gesture determined 10 months or so ago. Should be free whichever one we pick given how long we've had to wait but that's not gonna happen as it'd mean more people would go for textured 🙁
Re: Powder-coated sheets vouchers?
Are folks still getting the vouchers? It has been very quiet

Re: Powder-coated sheets vouchers?
I believe Josef said they are splitting the vouchers into two releases. The first one, for the first 1000 orders placed has been issued and is shipping AFAIK. I have received mine from this batch (Mk3 order 24th Sept).
The second release was to be much larger, around 16000 orders, to bring everything up to date. I am waiting for a TXT plate for my Mk2.5 conversion somewhere in this batch. As yet I have not heard or seen any mention of how this larger release is proceeding.
I imagine quality checking so many sheets to find 16000 good ones is quite a task, based on what we have been told of the current yield from the suppliers. I can also see that packing that amount of sheets in the Prusa way with bubble wrap, cardboard sleeve and black stretchwrap will be pretty daunting.
I imagine it might be a while before we hear more especially with the Black Friday sale and Christmas orders thrown into the mix.
Re: Powder-coated sheets vouchers?
We done things completely the wrong way. We just bought our third mk3 then no txt sheet. and the first two were from october and december 2017 then no txt sheet for a while.
Re: Powder-coated sheets vouchers?
16000. Wow, they could at this for while.
