I have some solvent based wax and grease remover too but it doesn't work as well as the water based.                         <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The very light sanding made a big difference and alcohol wiping worked most of the time and soap and water worked most of the time but the best, most reliable wipe I've found is water based wax and grease remover made for automotive painting. I painted a car a year ago and the irritation we have when we lose a print after a few hours is nothing to what you feel after spending months prepping a car for paint and then have a problem when you are laying down the last coat. You don't take chances on stuff that "should work". This water based wax and grease remover takes off everything and prints stick.</p>

There seems to be a lot of variability. Some people are getting great results. I never got good adhesion, even with PETG. I've given up on PLA due to a similar experience with wasted attempts. I had a PLA part that always curled, even with vigorous scrubbing with Dawn and alcohol. Just a little light wet sanding and it sticks like it's glued. No lifting at all!
