MK3 S+ starts prints north of center by about an inch in the y-axis
My MK3 S+ starts prints north of center by about an inch in the y-axis. It has been working great for years, and just started this. It prints well once it starts, but the purge line, and print is shifted about an inch positive of center in the y-axis. If I print something that pushes the top boundary of the y-axis, I think I will have issues.
I see another post with the same issue from about 8 months ago, with no resolution. Yes, belts are adjusted, lubed, and no wiring is interfering. When I re-calibrate with Wizard, it runs fine for a print or two, and then starts off center again.
Has anyone found a fix for this?
Double check that nothing is interfering with full travel.
With the power off move the axis manually - is it smooth throughout the travel?
It's possible that the idler pulley is partially clogged or failing - investigate.
It is possible that wrongly positioned but fully tightened grub screws have worked loose in the drive gear(s) - unscrew a turn, position correctly (build manual) and re-tighten.
Let us know how you get on.
Cheerio,
