Honestly, you will want to use the online documentation over anything printed anyhow.

The community comments and advice for some steps is really important, especially for a beginner.

I can second @nomad1109 remarks to use the advice posted in the comments.  Even though I received the latest printed manual, I still referred to the online comments a few times when stuck at a difficult or unclear step in the printed manual.

BTW, the new online manual for the MK3S+ has very few comments.  I found going back to the older MK3S manual was very helpful.  There are months, if not years, of comments posted there.

Jeez, don´t get too excited about the manual in print. If Prusa says they don´t have any, they don´t. They are not particularly known for lying to their customers. The printed manual is eco-unfriendly to begin with, but more important is that you will be using the online manual anyways as you can zoom in the pics and, more importantly, read a number of absolutely helpful comments from other users, which will be crucial for you to get it right the first time. There is no need to watch videos of other sources in addition, other than the risk of folks doing something wrong in the video....

Same for the "old" MK3s. If you got the last of the old ones, cherish it. There is zero reason for a "must have" of the + Update; let´s have other folks find out whethere the new parts really run that smooth and without problems - those parts you have are tried and tested and do the job nicely. Just like not buying the first year of a new car model.

Once they stop delivering gummy bears, then there will be an issue.

I try to give answers to the best of my ability, but I am not a 3D printing pro by any means, and anything you do you do at your own risk. BTW: I have no food for…

RE: Just received my new MK3S+

I plowed on with the build, regardless. I now agree entirely with everybody's comments advocating the use of the online manual, for its high res images and useful appended comments.
My initial frustration was due to:
a: The anxiety arising from never having undertaken anything like this assembly in my life - although I'm about half way through and amazingly, with a lot of double, triple and quadruple checking, nothing seems to have gone fundamentally wrong yet. Although I have still relied upon both the online manual and practical video demonstration.
b: It is unfortunate that in my particular case I don't have the online manual in the same location that I'm actually assembling the machine which makes it a fairly cumbersome exercise, but it is still turning out to be a surprisingly rewarding experience. Perhaps I will be better organised, and a little more confident next time.
