it's like a cadillac of 3d printers
just got my mk3. after only having a wanhao like a month in a half. all I can say is wow.... the torture I put the wanhao thru will make me treat this fine printer better. but good gods even the live Z adjustment... fricken god sent. thank you Mr. Prusa. you rock. but wow if I had known I would have paid someone to put it together. it took me for EVER. but I just put the last half of gummys in my mouth at once.
I have a Prusa,therefore I research.

If you ask me you did the right thing by buying the Kit.
Love both of my MK3's, I put both of them together as well. By you building the printer you learned how the printer is assembled and how everything works so if you need to replace something you will know how to take it apart and replace your part.
Gratz on your new MK3, happy printing 😀
Re: it's like a cadillac of 3d printers
I’ll second that. My first printer was pre-assembled because I just wanted to PRINT and design parts, and not fiddle with the printer hardware. It was the wrong call. Every problem is answered with “well, you have to know how to fiddle with the settings.” And the printer is just terrible.
The MK3 assembly was not without issues, but the education was worth it. I have more confidence in using the printer, and tweaking settings, and now I’m getting some prints that are impressing me.
I’m so glad I got the MK3 kit; I regret the pre-assembled POS.
When someone asks you if you're a god, you say, "YES!"

Mr. Prusa. you rock.
I can only imagine what it must be like to manage this sort of operation, given the staggering number of variables at play. Mr. Prusa has clearly done a miraculous job of both recruiting talented employees, and also accommodating the diverse community of patrons. It is truly a joy to participate in this adventure!
