Issues with parts of first layer
Greetings,
I get some problems with my first layer in prints, i think it related to bed adhesion. this is printed with 70 degrees on build plate for the first few layers, and 210 extruder. Normally i was using stock PLA temperatures.
Material is black PLA from Devil design, and i have never seen this specific issues before, on my printers with glass build plate.
When i print with Natural PLA the problem is less, and this was not an issue when i got the printer a few months ago.
I baught the printer assembled, and i have tried cleaning the build plate with IPA, it might have helped a little.
Slicer is Simplify 3D and my Z offset is -0.8
Layerheight is 0.3 as this is worse with 0.2 or 0.1 layer height

sorry for the mess of information 🙂

Re: Issues with parts of first layer
I would guess, according to your pictures, your Z-hight is off.Did you adjust Pinda with the zip tie?
Re: Issues with parts of first layer
Hi. Lasse.
Your live z is too low
Try washing your buildplate with water and dish detergent. Rinse and dry with clean paper towels

Re: Issues with parts of first layer
You are over extruding or your z offset is way to low.
You mentioned that you are using Devil Design filaments and unfortunately I've heard few opinions about them that they don't keep dimensions very well (I had no issues with samples from them I got at a trade show but I never tested entire spool myself). That could be the cause of your overextrusion.
Start by measuring your filament in few places over few meters and input the in your slicer settings then retest.
Devil Design is a Polish company - if you are looking for other Polish filament manufacturers I recommend Fiberlogy (especially that they started to sell masterspool compatible refills recently).
If you try and take a cat apart to see how it works, the first thing you have on your hands is a nonworking cat.
Re: Issues with parts of first layer
Greetings,
thanks for the tips, I measured the filament, it was a little thick, so i have increased the filament size in the slicer to see if this helps.
As for the cleaning of the steel sheet i did not realize that there was a working backside aswell 🙂
I will get back with what the next prints look like.

Re: Issues with parts of first layer
Greetings,
i found the issue, it was the first layer multiplier that was causing issues, i had copied the profile from a 0.1 layer height profile, but changed it to 0.3, and the first layer height was set at 200% that was what caused the issues 🙂
thanks everyone
