Is this bad behaviour or just fun?
Hi again all. Been printing up a storm and my first big project (RC aircraft in LW PLA) is nearing a successful end. Learning curve has been huge but as I get more familiar with the machine materials and software I may be developing some bad habits. I find myself getting more involved in the build plate as my objects appear. I clean whisps of filament and knock off small artifacts while the print occurs. Is this bad form or do you experts do the same? Thanks, Dai Wee.

Just avoid doing anything that can disrupt a long print.

I wouldn't recommend doing this:
1. Increasing the risk of ruin your print by touching/pushing something important
2. Electrostatic discharge can cause the print to stop
My best practice: Watch it, but never touch it..

😝 Had a feeling this would be the consensus... thank for the feedback.
You can pause and resume.
However, doing such will sometimes leave a visible artifact.
IMAO, if it's bad enough to require intervention during printing, it's probably bad enough to kill it and do it over.
