RE: How to preserve the filaments?

My simple and elegant solution to the problem is at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4531208 . I like the paper boxes that filaments come in. And still keep them in ziploc bags.

RE: How to preserve the filaments?

I've made first one and now two "dry boxes" out of plain vanilla Home Depot storage tubs, each with four of those aluminum silica gel packs and an el-cheapo digital humidity gauge (secured to the side with a 3d printed bracket, of course).  I try to keep all filament that I'm not actively using in these.  Every few weeks I "regenerate" the packs in the oven.

I also remember (from where exactly I'm not certain) that if your ambient house humidity is kept in the low 30s or lower, there will be insignificant damage to filament that is left out but regularly used and consumed.
