Help!! There is some kind of wire sticking out about 5 inches from the where you load filament into extruder.
This is on my brand new machine on setup. I tried pulling it out, but not successful. Anyone received the same thing on assembled i3 MK3S+ and know how to remove it?

There should not be a wire where you are describing. I agree a photo is needed.

Duh. It was the filament. When I went through the setup it heated it up and said to remove. Guess I did not go far enough. Thank you for the quick response. BTY, silver/gray filament, so it looked like a wire. Buddy is printing now!!

Just to exclude the trivial — it's really a wire, not some filament?

Yes, once heated up said remove filament. Came right out. This forum rocks.

Somtimes we miss the blindingly obvious...
I have tried to print PETG at PLA temperatures... didn't go well!
took me a while to work out that I have picked the wrong roll of filament up!
