first print works, second print doesn’t

I built my Mk3S back in December, but never really had much of a chance to do anything other than a test print or two,  I did have a few issues getting everything configured.

Since I’m no suddenly home a little more, I spent yesterday evening doing the XYZ calibration and the first layer calibration.  Everything worked well.  Did a test print.  That went well.

But when I tried to do another print, the printer acts like it is starting from where it left off, as if (0,0,0) is where the print head stopped when the print was finished.  I did the first print directly from the SD card.  The second attempt was via an Octoprint Pi 3b+.

Not sure where to go from here.

Can you do a 2nd print from the SD card gcode samples without problems? If so, it sounds like your startup gcode may be missing some commands. Zip and upload a copy of the 3MF project file you used to create your gcode so we can check your settings. I'd recommend keeping Octoprint out of the picture until you get the basic printer working. It's a great package, but it's only going to complicate things if you're having problems even getting a 2nd print to go.
