First Layer advice

Got my PETG sheet profile done, but went back to the smooth sheet , and now having trouble with first layer for PLA. Was fine before messing with the PETG sheet. Anyway, strange, I do the 75×75 1rst layer calibration program and looks good, but when I try printing something, it's terrible looking. First picture shows printing 1rst layer. The other shows what it looks like when done.

Your 1st layer is terrible.. so the advice would be, make it right. There are countless photos on web how it should look alike and plenty of tutorials how to do it (also on this forum).

What is your PETG sheet? You need to calibrate your first layer for each different sheet you use, because the thickness is different for each sheet.

I'm not really sure from your description what you have done, but when you have switched back from textured (which I guess is what you meant when you said PETG sheet) to smooth, did you re-select the smooth sheet in the printer menu? And when you say the 1st layer looked good after recalibration, can you post a picture? Hard to see why the calibration square should look good but your actual print not,  if your slicing parameters were the same.

Your first layer *is* too low, too negative.

The smooth sheet is thicker than the textured so if you are using the same setting this is what you would expect...

...and this is why the per-sheet settings are in the LCD menu.

Cheerio,
