Re: Firmware 3.2.0 for Original Prusa i3 MK3
Did a full factory reset and linearity correction of 1.055 and been printing almost constantly since the firmware came out. The quality of the prints is really outstanding.
Excellent job Prusa!
Re: Firmware 3.2.0 for Original Prusa i3 MK3
No, they had troubles with OctoLapse, not OctoPrint (for this special calibration print). Just disable OctoLapse.
Even with Octolapse disabled, there is issues.
Re: Firmware 3.2.0 for Original Prusa i3 MK3
I have had zero issues with Octoprint on any iteration of 3.2 - it just works.

Re: Firmware 3.2.0 for Original Prusa i3 MK3
Hi there,
new (final) version of firmware 3.2.0 for MK3 is out!
Marek,
Quick question, I haven't updated since 3.1.1 mostly because it was extremely stable for me. The feature set of this firmware is tempting to me.
Can you tell me what steps are needed for upgrading to 3.1.1, for example Factory reset? rerun calibration? rerun self test? I understand that the adjust z is a one time run but what about the other steps?
also, will i need to reslice all my current designs with the new slic3r that just got released? or will the previous gcodes still be fine.
If LA is turned on in a print and I follow that print with an older gcode with no LA will LA still be turned on? (does the printer retain the k setting between prints as stated a few post earlier)
Re: Firmware 3.2.0 for Original Prusa i3 MK3
A factory reset is probably advisable simply to avoid any potential issues arising from old configuration / calibration data.
Your older gcode files may already have a k value set as the filament profiles in Slic3r PE have defined it for some time.
That said, modifying the default start and end gcode to clear K is probably a good idea as the value will be retained until a power cycle or reset unless the next print specifies a new value for K. Otherwise you might encounter odd extrusion in gcode that wasn't processed with linear advance in mind.
Re: Firmware 3.2.0 for Original Prusa i3 MK3
Where do you guys find information on resetting and calibration? why are those not explained in the instructions that are linked? are they necessary?

Same here. I actually stopped using after reading about other's problems and being paranoid that it might be impacting my prints. But hearing this, I think I am going to go back to using it, because it really is awesome.

I think the problems encountered here was only refering to printing the pre"sliced/modded" ECOR tower gcode, as most others I have not had Octoprint problems since it was fixed in previous fw just printing normal sliced models.
But the ECOR tower was the first print I did from SD card as it was reported to be problematic.

I mean for PLA_MK3_ECOR_TOWER.gcode. I had to print that file from SDcard.
I had no issues for any other files. And with RC firmwares too.
Re: Firmware 3.2.0 for Original Prusa i3 MK3
Troubles connecting and flashing. ...
Go to Window Device Manager and see what port Prusa is really connecting at. I had to change the updater to the correct USB COM port to get it to work. Rescan just shows all available ports and doesn't necessarily pick the correct one.
Chris
This is SOO very helpful. Turns out I have both COM1 and COM4 available. Once I changed it from COM1 to COM4 and started the flash, one of the Prusa's fans turned on. I will now make a mental note to make sure I hear the fan when the flashing is happening.
The flash just finished and the fan stopped at the same time. Great audible indication things are going as they should.
Re: Firmware 3.2.0 for Original Prusa i3 MK3
So I upgraded to 3.2.0 and printed the PLA_MK3_ECOR_TOWER. I've been staring at it under a magnifying glass but I don't think I can see any variation at all among the sections. Do I need to enable the e-correct setting in the menu before printing this, or something else? What should I be looking for? (Is it insanely subtle?)
Re: Firmware 3.2.0 for Original Prusa i3 MK3
It's rather subtle. What you are looking for is a diagonal moire effect. Not extrusion variation- just a pattern on the surface of the tower.

Ah! I see it now. Thanks!

to answer my own question, it made me run through the self test and it did some rehoming and that is all
