RC3 has been released - I'm sure we'll see a forum post shortly.

I have a pair of MK3S's running 24/7 for at least the next few weeks on identical prints - I'll update one and run an A/B.

Is your printer grinding? Bearings squeaking? Motors smoking?
Step 1) Wash your Steel Sheet
Step 2) Return to Step 1

I have a couple profiles that I calibrated LA1.5 using the Marlin calibration pattern on 3.9.0-RC1. Should I redo the calibration after I upgrade to 3.9.0-RC3?

I don't believe the meaning of the value changed. Just some of the behaviour in specific circumstances, so you should be good to go.

My concern is because I calibrated based on RC1's behaviour and RC3 is claiming new behavior. I might just do it anyway on one of my filaments to see if I get a different number. (For all I know the calibration pattern doesn't use those "specific circumstances", but then maybe it does?) Need to wait for the current batch of face mask parts to finish though...

RE: Firmware 3.9.0-RC1 for Original Prusa i3 MK3S & MK3

I have some problems with my motherboard 13a using MMU2s.

I made some flowcharts to better explain what is happening:

1) How should the normal process be (AS IS):

Problem:

- However, in this flowchart for my motherboard 13a the situation freezes FINDA = 1
- Printing cannot be resumed and you may have missed days of work as a result.

Possible causes:

- I believe that motherboard does not support multiprocessing (thread).
- Motherboard overheating.
- Problems with the absence of good programming practices and software engineering.

2) How update 3.9 is behaving.
Captura de Tela 2020-05-18 às 13.48.17.png
Problems:

- There is no FINDA Sensor identification when starting the printing process your status is FINDA = N/A
- The FINDA status only changes status to FINDA = 1 when the filament is loaded to IR Sensor.

That's the problem.

After starting a print and being able to use a single type of color, the GCODE instruction sends the information to remove the filament and it is not detected by FINDA and freezes the print and asks for the user's intervention.

I hope this helps.

However, I expect a date and an answer from you about my question.

Best Regards

Fabio
