extruder spring size
Anyone know the extruder spring size, both ID and OD would be great even better if you also know the spring wire size/thickness?
Im building a new extruder for my printer will all new parts, partly to upgrade to R3 printed parts and partially to get ready for high temp printing(going with PT100 thermistor, copper heater block, more powerful heater cartridge).
Also as a learning project as its the only part of the kit that comes pre assembled is the extruder assembly and i would like to know how to totally take it apart and build it up.
Unfortunately Prusa did not have the extruder springs in stock when i ordered my other extruder parts parts and I would like to source the springs locally vs paying for shipping from other side of planet just for 2 springs.
Re: extruder spring size
On the bag they are called 5mm x 15mm. More info:
15.5mm long,
3.25mm ID
.8 mm wire diameter
5 mm OD
9-10 coils, and they have closed ends

I lost one during a rebuild after a nasty clog. I replaced it with 2 pen springs that fit one inside the other. It's been working.
