DHL is messin' with me.
My printer arrived at the Minneapolis facility yesterday at 4am and sat there all day. Then sat there all day today as well. 😬
I could be printing a widget that cures cancer and rids the world of hunger. Don't they understand that world peace is only 1kg of Prusament away?!

Most important to us Oregonians - what was the transit time from Czechoslovakia to Minneapolis??
This comes on a slow boat - or what?
Oh - and sorry about your delayed printer...
RE: DHL is messin' with me.
waiting on customs clearance i bet
RE: DHL is messin' with me.
customs in mpls? I'm in the twin cities and my stuff gets stopped in Ohio for a few days.
I have a Prusa,therefore I research.
RE: DHL is messin' with me.
DHL routes everything into the US by way of Cincinnati - that's their US hub, and where it will receive customs clearance. My experience is once it is through Cincinnati, its on a direct flight to Dallas before it comes to my door (usually the day after it clears customs, but never more than 2 days).

You want to know real "messin?"
Imagine all the excitement of DHL delivering your printer after weeks of waiting.
DHL handed me a box that seemed lighter than expected.
Imagine the look on my face when I opened the shipment and found weird looking sweaters instead of a Prusa.
Days later, DHL managed to retrieve my printer from where they misrouted.

Did the sweaters fit at least?
RE: DHL is messin' with me.
Would have been hilarious had they been "Everyone's a maker" sweaters. 🤣 🤣 🤣

@guy-k2 may have just stumbled upon the ultimate ABS warping solution: 3D Printer sweaters! Slankets for printers.

You've must've checked the box agreeing to participate in technology preview programs on Etsy. I believe you're due a Papier-mâché enclosure tomorrow.

Then there's that white on white text where by clicking [PURCHASE] you agree to - "if needed" - letting Prusa float your money until they have cash flow to actually buy parts for your order. Most credit cards (e.g., VISA) recommend cancelling then reporting to them non-performing sellers well before you hit 60 days (the limit where the CC company will give your money back).

DHL picked it up on July 4th and it was in Minn. on the 8th.
I am looking at the box right now. Let the games begin!

I'm mechanically inclined, I should be able to build this.

Please share the condition as you dig into it...
Anything missing or badly printed. QC type problems. Wrong thermistors may not turn up until - later.
My main worry with Prusa is that they may be dying from too much success.
I have no idea how they can ship 100,000 printers - and have them all perfect. Just hope mine is...
RE: DHL is messin' with me.
Mine arrived okay - though the more I print the more I learn they used pretty cheap components in places a few extra bucks would have made a significant difference in longevity. Rods, bearings being foremost; and now learning the motors are second shelf. Also, their software engineers are not the best at regression testing: they'll change things and not go back to see what they broke in the process. Get's frustrating at times to be a beta-test customer without signing up for it.

I got mine in January before the madness started. All parts were in there and I got the 3S upgrade soon after. I couldn't find the spares I ordered in the box though. A nozzle was in a plastic bag taped to the inside top of a box. PEI sheets were in a DHL pouch that was easy to find.
Just had to wait for the MMU2S until late May. 🙁
I must be one of the lucky ones. I live close to the airport in Michigan. We get DHL in 7 to 10 days from order date through customs. I have made 4 orders since the printer. I keep running out of Prusa Orange for some reason. 😉

RE: DHL is messin' with me.
Living in Ohio, I usually get my items from Prusa in a couple days. The printer was the only thing that got delayed by Customs. All my other orders of parts and filament arrive quickly.
Only thing that annoys me about DHL is I always have to tape the release form to my front door. They won't allow me to use my default release waiver signed online.
RE: DHL is messin' with me.
Heh, I work a few blocks over from the DHL depot so I just have them hold things there and walk over at lunch. I've always had stuff in 2-3 days from shipment as well, and I swear once an item went through NY instead of the Ohio hub.
RE: DHL is messin' with me.
I was a bit apprehensive when I unpacked everything but I split it up over a couple evenings and it wasn't bad.
Had a couple issues:
1. The fasteners for mounting the extrusions to the frame plates are made of butter.
2. Make sure you know which rods get the double bearings. I had them backwards both times (Y and X). That is a PITA.
Calibrated a couple times and readjusted the PINDA but I think I've got it. Had some early 1st layer adhesion issues until I cleaned the PC plate.
Printed a couple Bat-a-rangs, a tree frog and a motorcycle part and I'm hooked! Looking at the MMU2 and a DIY scanner next.
