Coding Ideas for additional features and functions in Prusa Firmware
Sebastien Andrivet has coded some awesome Marlin features and functions in his fork of Marlin 1.1.9
This this is for a different printer, the Wanhao i3, my first printer. Now it does have a touchscreen but, he has worked hard with the Marlin Firmware and prototyping hardware.
I don't know how much memory the Einsey has in comparison to the Melzi in the Wanhao, but he has managed to jam in as many features as possible.
Just accessible from the printer interface are:
-- multiple presets for PID Tuning (hotend/bed)
-- multiple presets for Nozzle/Bed Preheats
-- extruder calibration via formula just follow directions, measure and enter values.
-- Board input/output diagnostics
-- sensor coordinate adjustment for custom mounts
etc..
Worth a look.

For folk printing PLA and Nylon and switching between them frequently, the multiple nozzle PID data sets could be handy.
That said, I'd really like my MK3 to tell me - reliably - when the print I am about to start will fail before completion doe to some silly thing I am trying.
But as a minimal feature request, even to have the MK3 print a flat wall when a part has varying layer areas would be nice. Though, I guess this is more a defect than new feature. sigh.
