Bed thermal runaway

Good evening, reaching out to see if anyone has any guidance or experience with this issue. I'm very unfamiliar with the prusa 3D printing line.

I recently purchased my second m3ks deciding to give it another go after a really painful experience with the first one. The printer is roughly a year old. I haven't used it a whole lot have has a couple of months ago it started having bed heating faults. After inspecting the printer, I noticed a pretty bad kink in the ground wire connecting to the heating bed. After checking the wire for continuity, it sometimes broke the connection when indexed too far forward or backwards. So I replaced the ground wire and it's been behaving pretty well. However, today I came home to find a thermal bed runaway fault and the ground wire connected to the bed melted in half. I assume that's probably a PCB failure in the heating bed, but thought I would ask before going through the effort to remove it.

RE: Bed thermal runaway

Pictures would be helpful.
sometimes the crimps fail,
Sometimes the strain relief fails,
Sometimes screws are loose,
Sometimes the washers are in the wrong place
I replace  my bed wires with 16AWG Flexible Silicone wire and new crimps.
If you don't have your own crimper,  consider visiting your local car repair workshop or car spares shop, and asking for help.
If you cut the wires to length they will probably fit the ends for you for little cash.
regards Joan
