@ilja-coveliers

yes you are right about the covid 19 i was running 4 printers for 14 hours a day. the prusa just took it as it was a walk in the park!

ender 3 was not that happy, you could not push the speeds up we were printing 3d verks and we got them down to about 25 mins on the prusa with very good quality in petg

the CR10s was reliable, good quality same again not too happy being pushed hard all day........dont even talk about the A8 clone

From what i have seen you will learn your printer, you can tell a lot from what sounds it makes.

like you say experience is the key, i dont think it really matters who built it.

i must say i agree with you about being afraid of the printer, i would not even change the first layer!

now i am doing all of the more difficult calibrations

so really just get one and enjoy it

Graham

A bit afraid, but lots of people have bought the kit and have put it together, so that gives me a bit of assurance that it can be done. 🙂

It can definitely be done. It will even work if you are slow, careful, and read the directions. Read the online manual for user comments.

I worry about any assembly done in under three days. Those seem to be most of the "defective kit" complaints.

I've just ordered the Prusa i3 MK3S Kit !!!

Congratulations!

This place is filled with folks that have been there, done that. If you have questions about any part of assembly, check back here.

And lubricate your bearings before assembly. It is a lot easier than dismantling to do it. I know.
