RE: 3.12.2 Firmware for MK3, MK3S, MK3S+ is out!
I have the same problems with the Crashdetection on an unmodified MK3S+ in a Prusa Enclosure.
Really poor Prusa. Do you have any quality assurance?
RE: 3.12.2 Firmware for MK3, MK3S, MK3S+ is out!
After more than a year of my MK3S sitting idle (using the Mini instead), I upgraded the firmware to 3.12.2 & started using it again. I'm now getting the thermal anomaly error. I've tried doing the thermal calibration a couple times, but it's still occurring. I'm going to go back to an earlier firmware version. What's the latest version without the thermal modeling errors?

3.11.0. I was recommended by someone else that I should roll back to 3.11 when I received a new Revo 6.
I'm currently printing right now with 3.11 and seems doing fine.

Mines stock - no upgrades. I'll try 3.11.0. Thanks!

What's the best way to give Prusa feedback on the thermal modeling not working? Discord? Github? Chat support?

I rolled back to FW 3.11.0 & have been printing fine all day.

That's good news! 👍 Hopefully, the newer version would fix that issue that everyone had.

I would encourage everyone who had issues with the thermal model or thermal anomaly to report it on the GitHub thread. There are only a couple of reports that I found & I don't think they capture all of the details I've seen reported here. I've seen one that pertains to Revo & one with MMU2. In my case, it was neither Revo or MMU, but just straight up simple printing. We won't get good thorough bug fixes of they don't have all the details. I think they also prioritize what they work on by the number of reports they get.

as @burtronix mentioned - to fix bugs prusa needs detailed defined feedback from users on github.
so, please don't hesitate 👍

For what it's worth, since moving to 3.12.2 I've still experienced the loud beep whenever the M112 error occurs. I understand they're working up a different approach to error handling, but it's not released yet. That said, I've not experienced a single Thermal Anomaly.

Me too. I am going to replace my thermistor. I get this error every time I print on one printer.

With 3.12.2 l randomly get thermal anomalies but they don't stop my print job. Never got these with the earlier firmware but the true test would be for me to roll back the firmware and see if the errors go away. Has Prusa commented on these issues yet, did I miss anything official?
RE:
I pretty sure mine is a thermistor issue. I had it before but the print would continue most of the time. Now it stops. Then again, I have 8 Prusas and only one as the issue.

RE: 3.12.2 Firmware for MK3, MK3S, MK3S+ is out!
I'm using the Slice Engineering High-temp thermistor, which I'm sure isn't ideal from a compatibility standpoint. Although Bondtech's branch of Prusa firmware accounts for it.
Since they've retired that particular thermistor I'm curious to see if it's any better with their current model. I guess the difference is that the HT Thermistor could reach temps that are unrealistic in home printing. The new model operates in a lower, albeit greater than stock, range.

+1 on the filament out detection not working. Need help, i just got to the end of a very long print and it didn't detect within the last 30m. It has always worked fine before this firmware upgrade.
RE: 3.12.2 Firmware for MK3, MK3S, MK3S+ is out!
I've had my printer about a year and a half now and have not upgraded the firmware. I did a bunch of calibrations and entered settings to change stepper motor behaviour etc (I followed the process described by "Teaching Tech" here in Australia) into the eeproms.
Will updating firmware overwrite these settings?
What is recommended to redo following fw update?
What is the "thermal model" being discussed and does it influence my MK3s+ in a way I should consider beneficial?
Mgr Stock Prusa Mk3S+ using Octoprint in a passive enclosure.
Australia based, mostly printing eSun or Prusa filaments.
