Z Calibration Failing
Hi,
I just finished assembling the Prusa i3 Mk3s Original and while doing the wizard test it keeps showing error while doing the Z calibration. The left side of the axis reaches the bottom faster the the other and starts making a grinding noise, not really sure how to fix it.
I appreciate the help.

RE: Z Calibration Failing
Back off the jam nuts over the motors (they need to be loose, not touching the motor).
Also, make sure both motors are securely connected at the EINSY board, and both connectors properly seated.
Another known build problem is the T-Nuts. If they were not threaded onto the lead screws by hand then attached to the X-Axis frame, it is very easy to damage them. You can supportthe X-axis, remove the screws holding the T-nuts to the frame, and then compare them left and right: if one side is hard to turn and the other not, then you need to work on getting both to turn as easily. In some cases the damage is too severe and they need to be replaced.
One other thing to try is to use the menus to raide the extruder (move z-axis) up until it hammers against the top stops. This levels the axis against the frame and ensures the two sides lower parallel to the bed.
