Z-Axis Dimension Calibration?

I just bought a Prusa Mk3s+ and it's been working great for me.  The only thing I noticed is that when printing a 20mm calibration cube it always seems to be exactly 0.2mm larger in the Z direction.  X and Y dimensions are spot on.  Is there anything on the hardware that I should troubleshoot?  Or is there anything in the Slicer that I can do to compensate?

I guess another thing on my to-try list is to check objects of other dimensions to determine whether this is an offset or a scaling.  i.e. I'm not sure at this point if it were a 30mm cube whether it would be off by 0.3mm or if it would still just be the same 0.2mm.

What layer height are you slicing it at?

Different layer height selections will give you different Z outcomes - due to math.  What layer height are you experiencing this with?  Did you put a raft under your part?

I'm using the 0.2mm quality profile with no raft so my understanding is that I should be able to hit pretty much spot on the 30mm cube target?

Support suggested I may be experiencing some over-extrusion and I should try to perform the extruder calibration procedure.  I have not gotten around to buying a micrometer for that yet, but my Mitutoyo calipers with .xx mm accuracy shows it to be spot on.  I am using the Prusament spool which came with the printer and as I understand that should not need changing the extrusion multiplier.

I still need to try printing a bunch of objects of different sizes to see what happens.

RE: First Layer?

@yangorang

How is your first layer?
If first layer prints 0,2mm too high everything will be about 0,2mm higher...

First Layer Calibration / Benchy Bottom

I was actually just fine-tuning that and have pictures in another thread - I did end up lowering everything a tiny bit, but it was an adjustment of less than 0.1mm.

Measure the thickness of your first layer?

Print a few test pieces, 0.4, 1, 2, 5 thick etc, and measure them

That will determine where errors begin
